dont flame me, just something mr endor say's in one of his youtube clips

could have been, its just my uneducated comment Rolling Eyes

Im assuming that fanatec has been supported in FM3, maybe in the way of a firmware chip and emulation to use the m$ wheel drivers, but based on the current comments about lack of "reversing" switch for the sequ shifter, the non-support for SPr & DPr "only noticeable in PS3 made" (quote from fanatec manual). I assume the wheel not fully supported in FM3.

After I read the article about the new Club-handbrake,
Fanatec announced in the GTPlanet forums: “We managed to convince Microsoft that the handbrake is now a standard feature implemented into the console so it is easy to support and we will send samples to all relevant publishers." I again assume that better driver support will be in FM4.

my fuzzy logic suggests that controller support in FM4 needs to be better because now turn10 are putting their name "FM4" on the wheel, and nobody is going to be happy if you can race an old m$ wheel faster than a new $$$$ fanatec one!

Did someone by the name of Clarkson get his new wheel today?

If not it can not be too far away, Hess sent it on Friday.

Yep, unpacked it as soon as I got it. I will try it out on the weekend. I just have to get something to mount it on.

I saw one in a radio rentals (floor stock) a while back

I wont pass my personal comments about what I saw, but if you get the chance do your self a favour first.

RU

ps: on last night fanatec problem, it lost connection to the box, but didnt get an onscreen message of disconnection either.

I didnt actually loose my setting on the wheel , just selected S3 setting by mistake, which are still default Rolling Eyes

Update: the ULTIMATE, available in Aust (but $$$$) still no stubbie holder!

Yeah,

during the 2nd race, down one of the back straights. Lucky no-one was near, they were too far behind me, hahaha. Except Spool and Crax, too far in front!

after race 3, It disconnected again, the xbox still had the controller light on but on the wheel all 4 rings just kept flashing. the only way it would reconnect was to power-down the wheel and restart. It was only after I power-down that the xbox recognised the wheel controller was disconnected!

wil do a bit of other forum searches to see if its a problem...

haven't really found to much around the traps about disconnections, a couple of threads on Fanatec and other sites, but will keep looking...

Interestingly, found a few threads about poor in-game chat when using the GT2 and Turtle Beach headsets.

One stated not to use the USB on the xbox as a power source, I have a few apple products that use a universal USB/240 power adaptor, most iphones/ipad ect come with one

worth a try!

Anyone still using the H shifter? I just put it on again about 3 weeks ago and something inside me just clicked. Now I can drive with it on, never miss a shift, and I'm beating my pb's I just love going from 5th to 3rd in one shift.

Yep, nothing better than 6th gear at Mugello, dropping back to 3rd, then ride that clutch all the way into the apex, adds greatly to your brake distances.

Fanatec Game Gear - Page 9 H-shifter

anyway, I luv the setup and use of the H/shiter most of the time, the only thing Ive got to get out of is leaving my hand on it corning... one hand steering isn't that good Rolling Eyes

except when I use the Lexus in the Super Sedans, its got an 8 speed!

Nice position RU. I have mine set a little higher and a little further towards the wheel. Like yours, it is held in by two bolts but I put 2 little leggo tyres between the H shifter and the frame to creat a little seperation.

This is what I use for a wheel stand, thought someone may be interested in this ebay link. I bought mine from Pagnian, but it looks like the same item and Pagnian are no longer getting them.

I have not looked to be honest, but I don't think they will connect any other way but wireless.

Yeah, dazza's correct.

All the cables you see are to connect, either the clubsport pedals to the wheel and the shifters.
Apart from the power cable to the wheel, the connection to the xbox is only wireless, although you can connect a pc via USB, but not the xbox
