It's a pity that the Clubsport Wheel isn't XBOX compatible....

ok dumb question, how do i limit the degrees of rotation on my 911 wheel?

also another dumb question, does anyone find that no matter how far you turn, once the wheel in the cockpit view doesn't turn any more, neither does your car?

On your wheel press the button on the right of your digital display panel, It will come up 5.1 prees right once and it will read out: SEn. press the down arrow until you get the rotation you want.
I had a go today with it set on 210 (the lowest it goes and went ok)

got my shifter set yesterday at work, had a go with it last night, but i gotta say, i dont like the H pattern shifter. the way that its held in place (with the rods into the steering wheel), it is very unstable and i had multiple times when i went back to neutral because of this. might have to figure out a work around and mount it more securely somehow.

Did I read somewhere you have the Fanatec Wheel stand? If so, it has a mounting bracket for the shifters, and it is as solid as a rock. I was using the sequential shifter last night, and at times I thought I was going to break the actual shifter, but it never moved. Great bit of gear.

not surprised, i am closer to queensland than you are.

and Dazza, ive got the shifter plate, but that holder thing you see the rods coming out of i do not have. i have not thrown it out (just checked recycling and rubbish bins), so im guessing i didnt get one.

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=17107

thats where i got mine, and it lists the shifter plate, but not the other thing (whats it called?).

Not sure, I thought it was all part of it. I got mine from Pagnian years ago... well maybe 1 year ago.

I wonder if it is this

Porsche wheel and G25 shifter mount (optional)

You should not miss it, that piece alone is about 1 kg.

I picked up a Rennsport today and only have the mounting plate too. I'm pretty sure the Porsche and G25/G27 shifter mounts that attach to that plate are optional extras. Optional extras that I can't find available to purchase anywhere! Smile

Pretty sure that was a optional extra that when ordered from pagnian imports came as part of the package with the wheel stand.

So, i am officially an absolute basted. Why i hear you ask? Well i convinced the guy at JB that the shifter pack was meant to come in the 499 bundle, and since JB were so epically late in their delivery he knocked a total 100 bucks off the rrp.

So this coupled with my pick up of FM4 and AC:AH, i am EXTREMELY happy at the moment.

Fanatec Game Gear - Page 11 Empty Re: Fanatec Game Gear

Post by Guest Tue Dec 06, 2011 9:35 pm

I'm trying to cull my horde of various wheels for multiple platforms that i've collected over the years (would probably make a fortune on ebay). I want a wheel that will work for the xBox 360, PC, and PS3 and is of good lasting quality

From what i have read i'm leaning towards the Fanatech Porsche GT2 - http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=2302

Works well all of the platforms i want it too, and apparently i can hook up my G25 pedals which would save money.

Has anyone had any experience with this wheel? I'd hope to simply buy the bog stock GT2 wheel and be able to hook up my good ole G25 pedals and use the flappy paddles that comes standard with the Fanatech (i assume it comes with flappy paddles). If i want to use the G25 shifter is it possible? But at the end of the day as long as the GT2 wheel / G25 Pedal combo works for all platforms i'd be very happy.

Anyone had any experience with this wheel (and perhaps pedal) combo?

Found a good write up over at GTPlanet but wondered if any of you guys had any bad experiences. - http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=223641

A good number of the guys run it (the GT2). I personally run a Turbo S, and it is awesome, but its definitely not perfect, getting a bit loose at the moment, though that could just be normal wear and tear. I dunno, never had a wheel before this one.

I'd also forget about the G27 pedals and getting the CSP's, they are just above and beyond the G27's.

Hey mate,

I've got the GT2 and Clubsport pedals with shifter set as well, 6 months old now. The combo can be used on PC, PS3 and Xbox, but my gaming these days is only on the Xbox (FM4 and F1 2011).

The wheel is brilliant, so much better than the Microsoft wheel or the Logitech Momo which I've used. No comparison really. Nice solid feel, strong FF and good smooth rotation on the hub. I don't think you can use the Logitech shifter on the fanatec wheels.

The clubsport pedals are metal construction and solid as a rock! They're reported as much better than the Logitch pedals as well. I find them great - especially the brake, which is activated through a pressure adjustable load cell rather than a spring and gives excellent feel and vibration feedback in FM4.
I've had a couple of niggles with the wheel, being occasional disconnects while playing Forza, I've found no no explanation for that to happen or solution for it, but it only happens rarely -though its still a PITA when it does. The other thing I had was a problem with the paddle shifters getting floppy. Turned out to be some cushion buffers moved in the wheel and was fixed by disassembly and re-assembly - took about an hour to fix.

I'm still very happy that I bought the gear.
