I find this very offensive!!!! I never post up on here that I have spent more time pushing Holdens than I have ever rode in them.
How's the saying go..... I'd rather push a Holden than drive a Ford

Chucking in a random safety car each round of the current Tues night series would spice things up a bit eh? If the lobby host nominates, before the start of the race, on what lap a 'virtual' safety car applies, it could make the run to the finish alot more exciting on some races.

How about, I pm NoRecoil with a lap number and he sends me a lap number. Then we announce it at the beginning of that lap.... Safety car, the whole field then compresses and we go again... Now that would really spice it up.

That'd be awesome. Bit of a bummer of your leading by a country mile, but on the rare occasions I've won a race, they've always been much more satisfying and thrilling and enjoyable battling door to door rather than winning by 10 - 15 seconds.

I agree. But we aren't real racers. We're here for the sunshine, moonlight, good times and boogie!!

Whincup To Compete In Race Of Champions
Bathurst 1000 legend Jamie Whincup is set to make his Race of Champions debut later this year.
The four-time Bathurst winner and reigning V8 Supercars champion will compete in Bangkok on December 14-16, competing against the world’s finest drivers in head-to-head battles driving identical vehicles.
The event will be held at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.
Whincup has been touted to compete in the Race of Champions in 2009, but the event was to be held in November that year – just as he was vying for the V8 Supercars title (which he won).
The 29-year-old will race in both the individual component of the event, as well as the Nations’ Cup. His Team Australia partner will be five-time MotoGP world champion Mick Doohan, a regular Race of Champions contender.
Whincup says he is keeping his expectations in check, given the high level of competition.
“Having watched all the greatest racing drivers compete and have so much fun driving world class cars on my television from down under, I couldn’t be any more excited about participating for my first time at the Race of Champions in Bangkok this December,” Whincup said.
“Being a ROC virgin I am not setting my expectations too high but I will have some fun and hope my big Aussie V8 experience helps me.”
Whincup and Doohan will compete against a strong line-up, including Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and IndyCar Series winner Ryan Hunter-Reay.
-------------------------------------
It will be great to see how he goes
And seriously Mick Doohan
Nothing against Mick but why not have Webber, Power, Briscoe, Brabham or Stoner.

Well they had Grosjean in it last year so if he stays out his way into the first corner he'll definitely win. Loeb should be in it. One of the greatest drivers ever.

V8 Supercars announces 2013 championship calendar
The 2013 V8 Supercars Championship calendar has been locked away, with 17 events to be held next year.
The season will start with an all-in, compulsory test at Sydney Motorsport Park. It will be the first time that all four manufacturers will be together on the race track, but it will be the only time the V8s race at the Eastern Creek circuit as the western Sydney track has missed out on an official round.
The Clipsal 500 kicks off the championship, with the Australian Grand Prix support races to be held two weeks later. It’s worth noting that if Network Ten secure the television broadcast rights next year, the Grand Prix is likely to become a championship event.
One major change is Bathurst’s date, which falls on October 13. The later date means there’s a four week gap between Sandown and ‘The Great Race,’ and while there’s still a two-week gap to the Gold Coast, there will only be one week between the Gold Coast and Abu Dhabi.
The later Gold Coast 600 slot means that the event does not clash with the final round of the IndyCar Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship’s round at Japan, opening up the possibility of drivers in those classes to compete at the international-flavoured Surfers Paradise street race.
V8 Supercars will announce the race formats and distances for next season soon, however, they did reveal that Queensland Raceway in July and the penultimate event at Phillip Island in November will be two day meetings.

Surf’s Up For Murph On Gold Coast!
THE Pepsi Max Crew have unveiled yet another livery change for the V8 Supercars Championship at this weekend’s ARMOR ALL Gold Coast 600.
Kiwi ace Greg Murphy will be joined by Brit Justin Wilson in the new-look #51 Commodore, which has been through a range of eye-catching designs so far this year.
The livery for the Gold Coast event is one that completely fits the venue – it’s all about sun, surf and sand!
“I think I say this about all the designs, but this one is definitely my favourite,” says Murphy.
“I love the unique pattern and bold colours and to be able to launch it at the Gold Coast event is perfect.”
The livery will be carried on the #51 Commodore through to the end of the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship at the season finale Sydney Telstra 500.
“This is a brand new livery for the Pepsi Max Crew and is not like any we’ve done over the past two years. It’s a new take on graffiti and one that we think will stand out on track this weekend” says Adam Burling, Brand Manager, PepsiCo Australia.
Murphy will share with IndyCar regular Justin Wilson this weekend, one of nine IndyCar Series drivers competing in the Gold Coast event.
Wilson is a former Gold Coast Indy runner-up, finishing second to Sebastien Bourdais in the 2007 race at Surfers Paradise.
He will get his first taste of a V8 Supercar at tomorrow’s international drivers test at Queensland Raceway but has spent time in Melbourne with the Pepsi Max Crew team getting familiar with his mount for the weekend.
Wilson won this year’s IndyCar race on the high banks of Texas Motor Speedway and competed in Formula 1 for Minardi and Jaguar before moving his career to the United States.
He also won this year’s Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona International Speedway

Eyewitness reveals how a rock changed Dick Johnson’s life
A missing link in one of the most widely documented moments in Australia’s sporting history will be uncovered at an exclusive function celebrating some of the legends of nation’s motorsport tonight.
Speedcafe.com has tracked down the silent witness to the incident which destroyed Dick Johnson’s 1980 Bathurst 1000 race, that would be the beginnings of his high-profile career.
Steve Arnaurdan, 63, has come out to tell a first-hand account of how the rock rolled onto the track at Bathurst in 1980 and destroyed Johnson’s dreams.
He has kept what he saw secret for several decades but decided to break his silence after learning that the iconic Dick Johnson Racing team had fallen on hard times a couple of years ago.
His sworn testimony of the accounts of that day on top of Mount Panorama tell of a couple of young blokes who had unwittingly triggered one of the great mysteries of Australian sport.
Here, Arnaurdan recalls the happens at The Cutting at Mount Panorama on October 5, 1980.
“We watched the start up on the mountain behind one of the star-picket fences and Dick was coming around flat out and I said to my wife Lorraine this guy has got no backing from any big companies. He’s doing it from his own,” Arnaurdan begins.
“After a handful of laps these two people walked up in front of us and they would have been in their early 20s, dressed in jeans and flannelette checked shirts and they were obviously very hungover.
“They looked really crook. They had a big night and they decided to sit right in bloody front of us.
“They had anywhere they could have sat. 50m either side of us there was nobody.
“One of the guys decided he wanted to have a sleep. So he fiddled around and found a rock to put under his head which would have been terribly uncomfortable and he was sliding down the hill a bit so he found another rock to put under his bum.
“And that is where it happened. Suddenly this rock started to roll and as soon as it started to roll they bolted.
“I could see this rock going over the edge of a precipice there. And I thought holy shit and I got up and looked over to the track and it finished right on the racing line.
“I wanted to go and get that rock because there was no cars coming around but I thought no I don’t want to be a hero because I’ll get myself killed doing that.”
“There was no way of getting back up to where I was watching the race from. There was a marshal over the other side of the track and I started waving to him but he was looking straight down the track.”
“There was a loudspeaker crackling away so he couldn’t hear me shouting.
“Then one car came past and was having some trouble and he wasn’t on the racing line and didn’t see the rock I wouldn’t have thought.
“By this stage you could hear the leaders coming up Mountain Straight. And then it all happened very quickly and all of a sudden wham, it was horrific.
“The whole thing to when these kids arrived to when the rock slid down and the car hit it was about one minute.
“When I contacted Dick I said look mate ‘I wish there was more drama to it. I wish there was a conspiracy but there wasn’t. It was just a stupid accident.
“I don’t think the boys trying to do anything malicious. It was an accident and they got up and pissed off as quickly as they could. They don’t know Dick Johnson hit the bloody rock but they knew someone did.
“It’s one of the great stories of Australian sport. At the end of the day we make a lot of things out of these incidents and often it is not quite true but the reality is this is what happened.”

Unlucky for Tander in quali sucks to be them. 21 cars within a second should be a good race
What happened on frosty's top ten shootout lap? Did he get borked by being able to hear skaifey commentating or something? I just picked it up at the end and he was pissed but i thought they somehow crossed the comm's and put him off or something. Probably should have been watching it properly i guess
