Unlucky for Tander in quali sucks to be them. 21 cars within a second should be a good race
What happened on frosty's top ten shootout lap? Did he get borked by being able to hear skaifey commentating or something? I just picked it up at the end and he was pissed but i thought they somehow crossed the comm's and put him off or something. Probably should have been watching it properly i guess

Yeah halfway through the lap all frosty could hear was channel 7 commentary. And Matty White is bad at the best of times

Another crash from the start. This is worse than our V8 races.

2nd start shouldnt have been red flaged, a couple tilt trays with the safety car on track wouldve been fine imo, rediculous.

More like v8 supershambles today. Red flag, Red flag, Rolling start then put in a few laps,Safety car, Half a lap, Safety car. If they are lucky they might get to do 30 laps at this rate. Pull the co-drivers and put the main gamers back in now pls before they wreck the whole field. Thanks

Main drivers should have started - simple as that.
2 stops and 2 driver changes, with the 120ltr fuel tank they have plenty of time to swap over.
The teams effected by the crash(s) have no one to blame but them selves.
I fell asleep on sunday for 25 laps - clearly missed nothing because the camera was still on #1 and #6 when i woke up.
Go the SLS GT3 on Saturday!

Should of the regular drivers started the race? Probably. But there were no yellow flags to warn the drivers aproaching that there were stalled/crashed cars ahead. The second resart crash could of been avoided because he should of seen the yellows but he kept accelerating.
Anyways great job by JW and Seb all weekend. Would love to see Bourdais do a full year in the V8s.
Great job also by Webby and Lieb to get Tekno's first podium result.
Also unlucky for Slade not being able to hold off 6,1 and 5 for a podium result after a great stategy had them leading the race at the second last restart.

Nissan Motorsport reveals launch date for Altima V8 Supercar
Nissan Motorsport has confirmed the historic unveiling date of its first V8 Supercar as it builds towards its testing program of the all-new race car.
The all-new Nissan Altima will be revealed at a media-only event at a secret location in Melbourne next Tuesday (October 30).
The highly-anticipated launch will be the first time the world will see a non-Ford Falcon or Holden Commodore V8 Supercar.
Speedcafe.com understands the Altima, built by the Kelly Racing squad, will be revealed in a special ‘Nissan Motorsport’ livery, recognising the organisation’s name change for 2013.
The event will be streamed live online via YouTube, giving fans in Australia and across the globe the chance to see the first glimpse of the spectacular race car.
After the unveiling, the car is expected to hit the race track later next week for a shakedown test ahead of its scheduled aerodynamics testing.
The shakedown test is likely to be conducted at Calder Park, and with many of Kelly Racing’s team members en route to Abu Dhabi at the time and Todd Kelly continuing to recover from shoulder surgery, the team’s endurance driver David Russell is expected to spearhead the testing duties.

I thought I heard mentioned sometime over the weekend that there was a list somewhere that added the 2 times together and then compared the driver pairings.

Nissan Altima V8 Supercar Unveiled
NISSAN have pulled the covers off the much-anticipated new Altima V8 Supercar it will race in the V8 Supercars Championship next year.
The new car was unveiled at a classy media launch this morning in Melbourne with Kelly Racing owner/drivers Todd and Rick Kelly joined by Nissan Australia CEO William F Peffer Jnr for the special occasion.
The first chassis – KR001 – was revealed today and is powered by the quad-cam, 32-valve production-based Nissan VK56DE engine that was unveiled in September at the Kelly Racing squad's Melbourne headquarters.
The new car has been built to the new 'Car of the Future' regulations for V8 Supercar racing, which includes bigger 18-inch wheels, transaxle gearbox and independent rear suspension.
The team is the sixth – behind Triple Eight Race Engineering, Ford Performance Racing, Holden Racing Team, Stone Brothers Racing and Fujitsu Racing/GRM – to complete one of the 2013-specification cars.
Former Bathurst champion Todd Kelly – who is sidelined for the remainder of the 2012 season due to shoulder surgery – said that the unveil today was the proudest moment in his team's short history.
"This is the proudest day in the relatively short history of our team, as well as one of the most significant days in recent times for the sport of V8 Supercars," he said.
"Our team has done a tremendous job to design and build an all-new V8 Supercar, including a new engine, in roughly nine months.
"The Nissan Altima V8 Supercar really is like no other V8 Supercar. Not only does it look spectacular, but its unique features and aggressive design ensure that Nissan Motorsport will stand out from the rest of the field.
"The look of the Altima and sound of the VK56DE engine are second-to-none. Once V8 Supercars has homologated the aerodynamic package on the Altima, we will begin our testing to ensure it drives as fast as it looks and sounds."
His brother, two-time Bathurst 1000 winner and 2006 V8 Supercar champion Rick, is looking forward to becoming a fully-fledged factory driver for the first time in his career.
"2013 will be the first time in my career that I will be a factory driver and it's a responsibility that I am not taking lightly," he said.
"Our entire team is working harder than ever to ensure that we rise to another level as we transform into Nissan Motorsport for next season. This is the most exciting time in our sport for two decades and it is amazing to think that our team is at the forefront of this change.
"A lot of hard work still lies ahead but we want to ensure that Nissan Motorsport is competitive next season and is a force to be reckoned with in the not-too-distant future."
The Kelly team will now work with V8 Supercars as the category's technical team works to homologate the Nissan Altima for competition, with a particular emphasis on the car's aerodynamics package.
Once that process is complete, the team will begin circuit testing with the car and complete construction of further cars.
The new Nissan Altima will make its racing debut next year at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide against Holden, Ford and the SBR/Erebus-run AMG Mercedes-Benz E-Class entries.
Four new Altimas will line up on the 28-car grid for next year's championship in a return by Nissan to top-level touring car competition in Australia.

WHOOOOOOO 4 times V8Supercar Champion
Apart from the massive sunburn I got on Friday, It was an awesome weekend at Winton
Also I hope that the stories about Van Gisbergen quiting the sport aren't true. It would be a MASSIVE loss for Kiwi fans and the sport in general. To lose a great young talent like that from the sport would suck.

Re: 2012 V8 Supercars Discussion
It seems like there where only a few cars in the field with pace and the rest just circulating for some reason. Was a pretty mad drive from last to podium by Jamie he made everyone look like they where standing still really. And to do 29 laps or something on the softs AND the quickest lap on the last lap a pretty darn good effort and worthy and some respect.
