Re: OZFM V8 Series VII - 24/07/2012 -> 11/09/2012
just a quick wish from myself for the next series for admin or Dazza to explore:
A Category or Lobby for PI 800 please.
Can we go back to the old results format that went with total race time to determine the standings across all lobbies, to determine lobbie positions the following week.

Can we look into having a stock lobby too? (maybe gearbox & brake upgrades, but not power or tyres).
I don't wanna pretend we're better than all the real life supercar drivers, whom all seem to struggle enough with stock power & no TCS no ABS etc.....
Maybe leave the power upgrades lobby (if its going to go ahead) for TCS runners only? Just an idea....

This is more just a date claimer, and to let people know the series is on its way.
More info regarding the series will be announced when we get a bit closer to the event.
SO throw the date in your diary, but for now lets get in to the OTCC series 1 and soon the OTCC series 2.

Re: OZFM V8 Series VII - 24/07/2012 -> 11/09/2012
Not long before this gets underway. Thought I would through out some more info for those that want a head start.
The build WILL be going back to the original OZFM build for this series,
That is;
Grab a stock v8 supercar, eith a Ford or Holden.
Choose all upgrade except for engine upgrades. (gear box specs may change, still working on that). But for now upgrade it.
Track list will consist of tracks that are around 1:30 in times, but the format will be many laps.
I will pinch a Thursday night for a practice run as soon as I get back home. (I am in hospital for a week or so).

It's all good thanks guys, more pissed about missing Tuesday nights GTs.
The V8s will almost be stock,
They will have at least upgraded brakes, suspension, and tyres. Still deciding on gearboxes but will let people know when I test them.

From memory they come with adjustable suspension stock - only thing they might need would be the gearbox. Even then you get an adjustable final drive

You'll find a lot of other guys waiting for this one as well mate.
You can always line up for individual race nights in things like the Posche series or other casual type events.
So don't stress if you can't make it every week for them. Just let the organiser know. For our major series (like the V8 Supercars or the current GT series and others) it is best if you can make the commitment to race each week. Thats part of being in a series. Again stuff you'd be familiar with from your PC race experiences.

T, keep your pants on mate, we will start these after the GTs.
Once I get home I will release the final build specs and start working in the track list.
Should have bought the Xbox with me. I have a nice LCD tv with HDMI input.
