Re: V8 Supercars for F3
Mad as, they better have holdens though. i wonder how many teams they have.
I would take this as a nod to bathurst being confirmed.
Thanks for sharing Syxx.

I'm not convinced, it just doesn't look like forza to me. It looks more like an older PC game, there just doesn't seem to be enought detail.
Here are some of the shots just released.

Hehe you like my Daewoo jab there RU? lol
Actually only the VE has its parts made in korea by daewoo. VY (including the monaro's) and before were not because GM hadn't yet bought them out. Personally i prefer the VY
And bring on the R33...sexcccccc

Fake, Fake & Fake,
take a look at the grill badge, I know that 888 cover it up with a sponsor's badge, But as Ford would issue the licence to produce this car, they would not allow this and would insist that the Ford badge be shown....

Re: V8 Supercars for F3
I could be wrong but wouldn't the license be controlled by avesco? I don't think Holden or Ford have any direct control over the V8 Supercar license.

Re: V8 Supercars for F3
Dont really know, just my uneducated opinion, I would have though that avesco controlled the franchise of the V8 series as such and each car manufacture controlled its on licensee to use their car, I had a look in the credits of the FM2 booklet that came with the LE edition, quote" Ford oval and nameplates are registered trademarks owned and Licensed by Ford motor Company"acerlyte wrote:I could be wrong but wouldn't the license be controlled by avesco? I don't think Holden or Ford have any direct control over the V8 Supercar license.
either way considering all the uproar about 888 racing's cars being red, like a holden and the the removal of the Oval badge, I would think ford would approve such a move..

Re: V8 Supercars for F3
the graphics just look wrong, also the fact they painted the exhaust tips on the side, also the lack of decals on the body really doesnt help, could be from the V8 supercar series on PC

Update: V8 Supercars & FM3
yesterday this link, was posted on FM2 forum
http://www.kotaku.com.au/2009/08/au-diary-v8-supercars-in-forza-3-confirmed/
copy from the link:
"Two weeks back we were sent a pic that seemed to suggest the upcoming Forza Motorsport 3 would feature at least one V8 Supercar, the Team Vodafone car of Jamie Whincup. Looks like there’s more to it than that.
Today I was invited to a press conference hosted by Xbox and V8 Supercars Australia “where they are set to announce a new and exciting partnership between the two organisations.”
The invite continues: “A number of V8 Supercar teams will be represented at the event, where Xbox will also be showcasing the new racing title Forza Motorsport 3.”
V8 drivers Mark Winterbottom (Ford Performance Racing), Garth Tander (Toll Holden Racing Team), Lee Holdsworth (Garry Rogers Motorsport), Michael Caruso (Garry Rogers Motorsport) and Shane van Gisbergen (Stone Brothers Racing) will be present.
So, what to conclude from all this? I know it’s not exactly confirmation, but I reckon there might be some V8 Supercars in Forza 3. Just a hunch…"

Re: V8 Supercars for F3
ugh, some bad news regarding bathurst which took some sheen off the announcement that the v8's are in.
"And yeah, no Bathurst in the game. But the V8s are fun as hell. We have 3 new tracks we haven't talked about yet. And 1 returning from FM2." - T10

Re: V8 Supercars for F3
Bit of a shame with no Bathurst but maybe a DLC track in the future? If not hopefully this often compared 'Blue Mountain' track from FM1 is in it's place. I never played FM1 but I hear it was a top track!
Those V8s look awesome! Finally I can eat pit wall with an actual V8 Supercar
