XB1 controller starting to fail.
Anyone else had controller problems?
My D pad down (or up) button wiggs out on xbox menues, push down and it selects the item below then immediately selects the previous item above.
In Battlefield the left stick starts moving forward slowly. It's not always moving a little forward, if I stop the character will stand still then a few seconds later will start moving forward, happens in vechicles too.
This is probably forza 5 but I've lost game chat in forza. party chat no problem.
I've reset/re-synced etc it but nothing changed.

Re: XB1 controller starting to fail.
Have you gone into settings and updated your controller? (I think it's in settings)
Settings > System > Update Controller.
You'll need to have the controller connected vire a USB Cable. You can either use one from the plug and play kit. Alternatively you can use one from your smart phone (Apple is dumbphone)

Sounds like your left thumb stick is getting sticky. When your thumb stick is slightly sticking in any direction, you wont be able to use your d pad to navigate menus unless you hold the stick in the neutral position, thats at the worst of times anyway. Reaper and I have both had this problem, though only after many hours of thrashing our 'trollers. Chat next time we're in a party.

Have you done a controllr update g? You can get it somewhere in settings on the dashboard. Might help with your game chat too.

No thanks for the tip. I'm thinking when I twisted it until I heard a crack might have something to do with it. The ppl at EB Games said they only had a couple of returns in the first few weeks of release but nothing since....

Either software or your thumbstick has lost its center, and since the deadzone is so small on these things its causing you issues. I used to get this on my 360 pads, but i haven't had this issue with the DS4 yet (it has other build issues).
