Nothing has been confirmed yet. But it will be with Ferrari in the GT class hence why he joined Maranello Motorsport for the 12hr. His aim is to eventually get a shot at outright victory in LMP1.Envy The Best wrote:Lowndes is going to Le Mans? Since when and with who?

Yeah, Rick gave Craig a tap coming into Honda but CL could of stopped it from spinning but didn't. If he had of waited for the rest of the field to go by instead of driving forward into the middle of the track while there where still a group of cars coming he wouldn't of been t boned by Will Davo. Craig had enough speed in his car to recover and get back through the field that weekend. What Rick did was no different to some of the stuff that Craig had done.

Re: 2014 V8 Supercars
Ok, I'm not gonna claim I know better but you are saying CL actually wanted to spin in a race and just decided not to catch the car after he got punted?
If this is the case then that's the wackiest driver strategy I've heard of, no wonder Whincup keeps beating a teammate that drives in this manner!

Re: 2014 V8 Supercars
I'm not saying that he wanted to spin but I think it was just convenient for him to spin considering it was his nearest rival for the championship that had just touched his car and to try to get him PLP. A risky strategy but one that would of paid off if he hadn't driven forward into the middle of the track.Original Reapr wrote:Ok, I'm not gonna claim I know better but you are saying CL actually wanted to spin in a race and just decided not to catch the car after he got punted?

But who knows what was going through his mind. It was at a time where CL had started to do some dodgy stuff on track which I think a lot of it came down to his engineer, Campbell Little, getting inside his head.
The same dodgy style of driving came from Winterbottom when Little became his engineer. Coincidence much ?

Don't forget folks, teams use tires of varying conditions during practice.

I went and watched the press conference earlier (you can find it on the v8 website) I had to laugh at Wingecup still thinking he got a bump and run at the last turn. Spastic.
And I LOVE how Berettas mic says LIVE AND FREE.

F me. Que the Benny Hill show theme song. Scott Pye said it the best. The old restarts were working fine, why make any change?

Re: 2014 V8 Supercars
Sunday's race really made me realise how much of a (naughty word starting with c) Jaime Whincup is when he's not in front.
He pulled a stupid move to try and get past Caruso after his drive through. Which caused serious damage to the right rear suspension geometry of car #36, who was in points contention until that incident.
That being said, he is a fast hot-lapper, don't get me wrong he can steer that car around the track quicker than the 99%, but if he is at any stage behind someone, he quadruples his body hair nd drives like an ape in heat to try and get past them, regardless of the consequences.
Trouble is, because he's won so many championships, the media portrays him as a god, and most articles tend to suggest that the other drivers are at fault. which only compounds the issue.
All in all, a great action packed weekend of racing with quite a few big hits, with everyone coming out the other side without any injuries (unlike their cars).

Re: 2014 V8 Supercars
Yeah makes it hard when your faster than the rest, and wanting to pass, bit like Forza really, pushing through when probably shouldn, in his defense though it would of been a good move if the back end of his car didn let go and would of got it done, but that's how close to the edge they drive those things, JW is a true champion imo and the fastest with the a great car, meeting him in person last season you see the professionalism in how he goes about it and now I prefer him as driver over Lowndes who I used to go for what feels like forever, also on that after meeting JC I also go for him now over Tander from who I have followed for years, was stoked to see JC take out the feature race even if it was a cost of JW and that silly drive through which triggered the events after, how can pointing and touching a car be considered actually repairing a car, oh he pushed some sticky tape down, seriously..

Re: 2014 V8 Supercars
Yeah it was a bit edgy on that call Razor, but the rules clearly state that the car controller is not allowed to touch the car, he touched the car, it's pretty black and white. Shame it cost him the win but the rules are the rules
