Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
Daz: Thanks something to think about I guess...
As for X1 support Fanatec say "And we are not done yet..." but it's pretty clear that they are going down the PS4 route. I'm guessing they will announce either Clubsport Wheel base or a new wheel base fully supported by PS4 not just G25 compatible like PS3 very soon. I don't think we will hear anything from X1 any time soon because if we were they'd be hinting at it quite strongly given all the cr@p they are copping over x1 support at the moment...

Once you make the change, and it does take a bit to adapt, you will never want to play another racing game with a controller again. imo.

I wonder why people are shitty...

Come clean with what though? Microsoft screwed them over in the search for more money. Thats literally all there is to it, and now that new wheel has me worried Sony did the same thing.
Sorry M8 didn't see the post.
Fanatec know exactly what and when they will launch something for Xbone, if at all. to keep posting silly comparisons about the orig xbox is pointless. WE all know know that there won't be any adaptors, I'm fine with it.
Im not so sure its the M$ thing, being screwed more the T10 thing, being screwed. maybe they are waiting for new games like Project Cars before they launch any xbone products. So that will be November. has the forza franchise done its dash, are fanatic looking at the next big thing to alliance with!.

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
I really wish they would announce officially the X1 stuff and a date for release.
Think i'll tuck away some funds for a V2 base,pedals & shifter.
Going to stick with controller until that time just would like a date to work with.

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
They kind of have already if you check their FB page a picture of an A button in green is pretty official Admittedly they do like playing games at the moment. Took them a week to announce the base after days of teasers. From the blog and email I received it will be probably after the new year when my order will get delivered.

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
There's comments from fanatec under that pic that suggest wheels coming for both consoles very soon Looking forward to getting on the wheel wagon.

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
Thinking I might start picking up some pedals and a shifter soon so when I can actually buy the base and the wheel I can jump in straight away and also spread the cost out a bit

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
I thought about that, I was just worried they might updated those pieces of hardware around the same time and i'd end up with an older model.

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
Funny you should mention that. The Clubsport shifter got updated to v1.5 today. There is a possibility of the Pedals being updated but thats a long shot I think, they are a pretty recent already.

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
I'm not too fussed, I might just go the csr shifter and pedals cause they will work with the clubsport v2 base and they're cheap

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
So X1 support just got officially announced so there you have it. More details to come. The press release is a little confusing but more details will follow soon.
Hillcrest I have the CSR shifters I'm selling them, I used them once hated them and bought the clubsport shifter haven't looked back... Worth the money.

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
What is it that is bad about them? Keep I'm mind I'm a total noob when it comes to wheels and I'm more so interested in a sequential shifter rather than a h pattern

the H Pattern I found really good for getting the gear change timing of iRacing and pCars right, I found with the clutch and paddles I changed too fast and ground the gears.
The base ones are just too plastic, the h pattern centring is just too strong (between 3rd and 4th gear). the base sequential on is I guess just fine. But the Clubsport h pattern just feel magnificent nice movement and full metal construction, it is big but amazing and will be awesome with all the old cars in F5/H2 and is great pCars as well.

Re: Fanatec compatability - Xbox One
I got my CSW v2 invite this week and have ordered that with the Porsche 918 RSR rim, which does look pretty nice. Now just waiting for an X1 wheel to be released. Should get this in early December, 2 months to wait... Dammit...
