Can I just throw into this idea of yours mcrow5 with; that for each track you could run either/or a 2 race enduro or a 4 race sprint. For the enduro's you run 1 race in each car and sprints 2 races in each car, to help even out if one car is slightly or significanty better than another. Just an additional thought.

I dunno when I'll have time to set this up, but I plan a Magical Mystery Tour.

Held over ten tracks.

Every track people use different cars. One from each class. F-R1 All cars must be stock.

The kicker is, you must nominate all 10 cars before the series starts, one per track in a Private Message to the organiser (or someone who is not competing). You are not allowed to tell anyone which cars you will race where.
You must compete with the nominated car at the track you nominated it for.

Hey I reckon we should give that thing that stumps is currently doing a try. Pretty much run with only 2WD no drive train swaps, with power and weight kept to a limit.

The whole thing sounds like a awesome idea which is why I thought I'd bring it up here

Basic rules I envisage:
Car class PI C425
RWD only
Car must be made before 1970
Stock tyres or at the very most sport tyres
No engine swaps. Although unlimited modifications to the stock engine
Turbo charging / Supercharging is allowed

Rolling start (to protect those ancient clutches)

Race length 40-60km + 1 lap warmup on road style courses, plus a mid season enduro at the Nordschleife of up to 120km, still working out how to do a rolling start on this one. Maybe warmup until that small straight inbetween Nordschleife and the Nurburgring GP circuit

2 races per round excluding the Enduro

Paint jobs must be period style, no outlandish graphics or multi colour paint jobs. Just something simple with a period style number decal

Would this interest people?

now an idea has just popped up recently after racing tonight in an ugly disgusting revolting horrible pointless unforgivable wasteful demented retarded stupid idiotic moronic bland sickening rubbish ridiculous woeful scheisse(if u know German) porsche panamera and bashing around other cars. (o sorry i didnt realise i was rambling on! i can get carried away sometimes! )

i call it a david v goliath series. not necessarily large cars destroying other cars but to have big v8 muscle cars which are good on the straights race against small and faster cornering cars. i dont really have any ideas of what cars could be used but i thought id share this with u and see what u guys thought

Sounds like when I use my Lotus Elan in the muscle car portion of the Friday Randomness. It's fun...even if the small car is a pinball.

exactly! just what i was thinking. but have a variety of muscle and small cars available as well

how about some sort of Top Gear event? ie, we are given a budget, go to the benchmark track(s) and do challenges. only problem with this is, for the timed events, someone will need a stop watch.

what about a series of Australian GT. up to discretion but there would be 2 classes called GT Championship and GT Challenge. The following cars would be eligible:

EDIT: the 997 cup car is suppose to be the 911 GT3 cup cars ... i think theyre in S class anyway

i was thinking of a hill climb series... is there one already or not because i have some rules which i think could make for an interesting series....

No hill climbs so far. I was thinking of maybe doing something in the hotlap comp later this year.

Three classes

Group 3 (B and C)

Group 2 (A and S)

Group 1 (R3 and R2)



The track will be nominated 1 week before race, in this time drivers can practise and submit their target time before race commences.

The Grid order is determined by the fastest to slowest time. Each car should leave a 10-15 second gap before starting the course.

The start line (bottom of hill climb) which drivers pull up to and start off up the hill.

Collisions will be on.

The finish will be determined at the time of nomination of the track. finish will be located at the top or near the top of the nominated course.

The replay will be used to establish times.



Depending on applicants depends on points system


All drivers start meeting with 50pts

Fastest time for each class - deduct zero points
The slower the time for each class - deduct 3 points

exact target time (rounded to half a second) - add 10 points
(for example target time was 1:23.04 and you achieved 1:23.54 you would still be awarded 10 points however if your time was 1:24.04 you would only recieve 5 points)

within half second either side of the target time - add 5 points

Slower than target time - deduct 2 points for every second

faster than target time - deduct 2 points for every second

each driver has two attempts which allows for a maximum of 120pts a round.



The final score will be tallied up and winner would be announced.

The round score will add to the championship. The highest score at the end of four rounds will be crowned champion.

Prizemoney varies on the class, with Group 1 having a higher entracne fee but will include a higher total prizepool.

HOWEVER this will be determined on how many applicants apply. To show you have registered you can buy a specially designed number box from my storefront and place anywhere on the sides + hood + rear of your car, each class's number box will be different.

entry fee's are $100,000 for Group 1 - 8 applicants = $800,000 prizepool
$50,000 for Group 2 - 8 applicants = $600,000 prizepool
$10,000 for Group 3 - 8 applicants = $200,000 prizepool
so for example.

1st in Championship will scrore 50% of prizepool [Group 1 - $400,000] [Group 2 - $300,000][Group 3 - $100,000]
2nd in Championship will scrore 30% of prizepool [Group 1 - $240,000] [Group 2 - $180,000][Group 3 - $60,000]
3rd in Championship will scrore 20% of prizepool [Group 1 - $160,000] [Group 2 - $120,000][Group 3 - $40,000]

A bonus of 150,000cr will be awarded to the best **original** design of the series (entrants can change liveries in the time between race meetings only).


Assists and Tuning.

Any tuning is allowed and any drivetrain type can be included.

Braking line, ABS and Autobrake will be forced off.

Damage will be full.
