I'll be getting GT6 on PS3 and playing that for a while. A while being until I can afford the new console for this lovely looking game.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
Yeah I might do that too purely because I want to play Dust 514 and finding it hard to justify another one game console...
Though listening to an audio of the car in GT5 did make me laugh it's pretty terrible compared to F4, GT6 seems better.

NoRecoil... there is already a 'I Hate Forza 5 MS etc'. Why turn this thread into one?

$88 is a good deal. I thought they were $120 lol Must have been a placeholder price.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
Could be seen as bad news or good news...
No transfer of vinyl groups from FM3/FM4/FH to FM5.
All I am going to say is...
A fresh start will be great for the Storefront (or what ever they use) and great for the game. I know some will see it the other way as we will have to start again. Remember we had to after FM3 came out.
The transfer was good for FM4 and FH but it was not a great thing. Too many Ken Block's and FnF all spammed from game to game. FM3 was probably the best for the painters as we got a new editor, the SF and no layer shift. Re-makes were actual re-makes not copy and paste designs. We saw some of the best designs ever including all the full race car designs we missed from FM2.
As a painter I am looking forward to the fresh start. A shame I will lose all the standard manufacturer decals I have made and collected but I will rebuild...
As for FM4 it will still have some live after FM5 due to the 360 continuing. Might still have some liveries to add the the SF before FM5 but with a year of limited access to the SF FM5 can't come soon enough.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
With the 180 M$ has done hopefully a patch for using Fanatec gear with USB with the might be on the horizon... Would be in their best interest if the Thrustmaster is not ready at release.
And for those without a wheel, if Thrustmaster do it right (clutch, H shifter, etc), might have to add it to the wish list.
Still excited and just paid off a little more today.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
yep...no forza disk...and life busy...having another baby in about 2 weeks. I still lurk around....just can't add much input if I can't race.
Can't wait for Forza 5 though.
A little birdy told me it may be a November 11th release day.....and also supposedly any digital downloads on the 360, eg arcade and 'on demand' games will work on the xbone.....once you re-download them.

It'd be good if your bird is right but unless they have some official inside knowledge, I'm pretty they've already stated that won't be the case.

Fingers crossed you're right. That'd be quite huge for a lot of people, especially given all the DL sales that are on at the moment.

This would be awesome and would be a telling blow in the console wars.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
You're right. I know it'd help me possibly move to the next box if it were true. All your previously bought Arcade and GoD games, plus anything you're contemplating to buy, being able to play on the new console which has more room. Many people aren't bothering with anymore from the current marketplace (sales as well) simply because they've been told it will be useless unless keeping the old box.

The Drivatar in FM1 was pretty cool way back then. Train them up and use them to race for you rather than hiring a driver.TEEROY 34 wrote:Bit of info here on Initial Log in and Drivatars which sound great you guys can race with me without me actually being there......Frig awesome, cmon clone technology catch up! I love how for FM5 your Drivatar will now sit on the Cloud for any friend to race against and from what I read it will not be the ghost you are trying to beat but an AI replaced with the Drivatar of a mate. And if your Drivatar wins you get the credits, nice way to cash in when at work or asleep.
Wonder if a Drivatar can be included in an online race series when you are unable to make it...

...if u could use ur drivatar online....
