Unless the V8s are on it there won't be much competition for what series will be running first

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
I know it's in the link above but still:
For the first time, “Forza Motorsport 5” will feature historic grand prix racing cars, including the 1976 McLaren M23 and the 1976 Ferrari 312-2 cars driven by Nikki Lauda and James Hunt, respectively, during the 1976 season. These models are the same cars featured in the upcoming Universal Pictures film “Rush", directed by Ron Howard, and will be available in Forza Motorsport 5 at launch. In addition, IndyCar race cars will be making their series debut in Forza Motorsport 5. The game will feature cars representing four of the top teams in the IZOD IndyCar Series: Andretti Autosport, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Target Chip Ganassi Racing, and Team Penske.

Remember training up your drivatar in Forza 1 to use instead of hiring a driver?
The drivatar is back in FM5!
With the Cloud your drivatar will be uploaded and be available to be raced against by your friends.

Open Wheelers awesome!
This I like too
"It starts with amazingly detailed cars built in a new graphics engine created exclusively for Xbox One which delivers physically-based materials rendering that recreate the real-life characteristics of thousands of unique materials. Dynamic damage modeling that showcases every bump and scrape. Tracks that accumulate tire rubber and debris. But there’s much more to the story than that."
Does that mean real tyre wear finally? Dazz will miss Drag tyre races so much!
Dedicated servers, but not sure is that just mean match making or servers host the races.
It means fast and fair multiplayer featuring Smart Match matchmaking and Xbox Live dedicated servers, where you can experience epic, fast, and competitive multiplayer perfectly suited to your skill and style.
Tracks hopefully way more tracks
an amazing roster of laser-scanned, millimeter accurate tracks – from exotic locales like Prague to the best purpose-built race circuits in the world
FACTS here!
It certainly appears to have a lot of awesome things coming, don't know about you but I'm excited I bough an Xbox just for F3 so I'll buy an Xb1 just for this if it is has the goods.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
The more I look at it, the more gorgeous it looks. Drivatar sounds cool and am wondering if it reflects your driving style if you're a constant rammer. It's still all spin though until they tell us what we need to know: tracks and racing parametres.
One thing that would weigh heavily on getting me onboard would be knowing how many online it could handle. If the box is far more powerful + having Cloud, surely it could support double what we have now. That would be hard to resist.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
I liked how in the VVV video the car was only slightly rubbed in the areas they seemed to hit, bumper was slightly hanging off, and the dirt accrued on the car was cool too...
what was cooler though was the Pagani Huyura has those 4 individual aero flaps that all work independently in real life and it looks like they do in Forza as well and given they have a whole computer in the Hayura (yeah I know) to deal with just that that looks very cool!
Dan also seemed to say that it was client server for racing...

Read about servers somewhere else, could mean bigger fields - or tremendous lag and no servers in Aus. I will not be shocked if the expect a Price per week to hold your own server aka EA style.
Dirt, tire wear dust and tyre options are all in forza 1 and 2. Most of the "new" things aren't new at all, just added again.
Still no mention of V8's - this will be the pending decision for me. If the game doesn't have he current 4 + Volvo and Chrysler (and any others as DLC) im not real keen.
GT6 will have a better selection of cars and the console is a lot more "gamer" orientated.
Game looks good but it looks like ill be in the same case as i was for GT5 - Cant justify the cash for a new console for one game

From the interview- Sounds like there are less fiction tracks and more real world locations.... Sounds very promising for you guys making the jump. Getting very jealous.

I'll be getting GT6 on PS3 and playing that for a while. A while being until I can afford the new console for this lovely looking game.
