Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
The new features look pretty cool.
The DVR option should get a work out with some members here and could find a place in the OZFM Uni for tutorials from members. Interested to see if it works on other features of the game like painting and tuning, not just actual game play.
I am still a little old fashion so the Kinect may not fully used like in the vid (still happy to fumble around with a controller) but will get some use mostly in games. I do believe Battlefield will use the Kinect this time around for leaning around a corner... It is these little features that have me excited to finally have a Kinect.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
Very nice find.
First time in a while that I watched the Bathurst 1000 from start to finish (normally doing stuff around the house while catching all the good bits). Car 10 was the only one I wanted to watch, not just because my Gamertag was doing over 290 down Conrod. Both drivers pushing the limit in what was essentially a hire car, passing where others would never and leading for so many laps. Both outstanding drivers and well deserved #10 finish.
The track looks awesome in game via the videos but can't wait to see it in full HD (better than 7's SD coverage, lol).
I have an idea for an enduro event. 1000km? Will work more out and post up some time soon but if we do get it to work you will need a co-driver...

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
Clutch or no Clutch
this is the question?
Every piece of game footage I've seen so far, shows a new GUI with brake and accel telemetry next to the tachometer (bottom right hand side). But no clutch telemetry!
So, has Turn 10 removed the clutch completely from the game? And then is this the missing link to the compatability issues with wheels/pedals.
I havnt seen a new xbone wheel with a clutch..
Has anyone seen any footage or demo showing a engaging clutch or anything...
Food for though, but I'm sure Fanatec wouldn't be interested in making a pedal without a clutch, being a true sim manufacture. Maybe that's why it's all hush hush!

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
If that's the case it's a shame. I love using the clutch. But it makes financial sense not to have it in since most people will be using the controller. I'd love to know the make up of wheel users to controller users. I reckon it lies somewhere between 80-90% controller users.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
Looks more like basic telemetry to me. Might be similar to the rest with more in depth telemetry at a press on the D pad with just the basics on the main HUD.
They had a clutch option in Horizon I believe... Can't see them removing it for FM5.
One of the new wheels has a heap of add-ons including a 3 peddle set and H shifter. Pointless removing a feature from the game when the wheel will eventually get it.
Well in 10 days we will know.

Surely they can't not include the GT3 Fax Machine (MP4-12C) after that video... Surely...JamieWhincup#1 wrote:

From a couple of reviews from the game by those who played it on the Xbox one tour they talked about clutch ect, one even mentioned an Auto clutch and the option to do it manual with the LBump on controller, and how he imagined it was similar to FM4 and configurable to different buttons but didn try. There is a couple of Vids of people playing it and there voice over reviews around plus on FM forums a couple of others.
Also the Thrustmaster wheel for Xbox one has an add on T3PA I think it's called that comes with three pedals. Just the basic wheel package doesn't and only comes with the 2 pedals. What is noticeable with the thrustmaster is the quick disconnect for the new wheel on xbox one is almost if not identical to the same as the T500 wheel.

plus d'informations (sorry, more information... )
You will need to get your browser to translate it for you unless you understand French.
Looks like quite a few tracks once you break them down to their various layouts. 5 layouts for Yas Marina will make this track very usable in any race series.
And a total of 11000 layers on the car in the paint/vinyl editor. So 3000 on each side and top with 1000 for the front and rear! Who cares how old the V8's are, imagine how good the custom and replica liveries will look with all the extra detail.

Re: Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.
Is anyone considering digitally downloading F5 or is it just me? I kinda like the idea of no disc for the kids to destroy although with my internet it could take 3 days to d/l...
