Its awesome, the best mix of decent physics with the arcade NFS/MC:LA style races and stuff. Its not replacing FM4, was never intended to, but its damn good fun.

I love targeting an event, buying a car, upgrading it to top of class, and driving around the map for a while to get used to the handling and what you can/can not do. Still going through SP. Yet to give Multi a go.

Well, you would hope the Rally expansion pack is just that and give us some more dirt tracks.

Here is a thought I haven't tried yet, maybe for the dirt races slicks aren't the go and sport tyres are. I might give this a try later when I get on. Will let you know what the results are.

Re: Forza Horizon General Chat
I think the stock tires are the best for the dirt paul, the sub handled much better before fitting the slicks to it... sort of makes sense I guess. But slicks are much better for the roads... choices ... choices. I think you can change setups right before the race, so maybe have a setup for dirt and a setup for sealed roads.
On a sad note, the force feedback from the dirt roads has shaken my wheel so hard one of the buttons has fallen off and broken.
Not sure what the go is with the clutch, it seems I need to stab the clutch pedal a few times to take off. I just keep stalling the car.

Re: Forza Horizon General Chat
I am now in love with this game lol. And on insane setting... is it even possible to beat for the real drivers amongst us? Seems like they have ramped the AI right up for this title. I also love driving in the cockpit view. The cars a so pretty from the inside.
What's the bet Forza 5 will include Dirt racing. I'm thinking they are using this as a test case. The expansion will be a day one buy for me.

Dazza I found the same until I did an auto upgrade to the PI class I wanted.
Do it myself and I had to triple pump the clutch just to take off

Ohh, I wish I check the emails a few hours ago... I will try that tomrrow night, thanks. Yes I did a manual upgrade to R3 in Subaru, I will try auto, If fact now you mention it, I dont think I had the trouble when I had to auto downgrade it to enter some races... hmmm

Was kinda hoping that unlike all the other open world racers out there the "story" didnt simply end when you beat the final "boss". Would have liked to have seen the characters play some role in the ending sequence.

So I showed the misses FH last night. She's had a go at F4, hated it and never touched it. Seems shes loves FH. Spent near on 4 hours on it last night running about under my profile mainly just crashing into things.
I'm now calling her Ramona Crevache.

Just a note for everyone doing a Co Op challenges, which are heaps of fun, from media Centre it's not at the outpost but down the road at a office building called Media Centre, it's before the Outpost if your coming from the festival. This stumped a group of us Wednesday night. Thanks to Gowie for his obsessive need to drive all roads for this one! =)

Re: Forza Horizon General Chat
Heya guys,
can anyone tell me what the options are for the steering wheel in terms of buttons? With my wheel - the floppy paddles don't work. In FM4, I've used a config where the A and B are down and up gears respectively. In the demo of FH, there was no config option like that so I had to run (yuck) automatic.
Just hoping that was only the demo (otherwise I'm going to have to pull apart the wheel again and try and fix it!)

Re: Forza Horizon General Chat
Well, I've gotto say I'm loving the fun you can have with this game!
Admitted, I was sceptical at first but I'm seriously impressed with the work they've done on this title.
The world is brilliant, the cars and handling are sweet and the physics - well you need to use a wheel to get the full effect - but imo the road feel in Forza Horizon is as good as FM4, maybe better in some ways.
I highly recommend it as a fun drive to anyone who is still sitting on the fence about the game.
Time to get the toolkit out.
Guys, if you don't own it - get it!
Mr T, this game was made for YOU.

Checked it out for you OD. Sad to say all 3 wheel setups use the paddle shifters for shiftingOctarineDream wrote:Heya guys,
