Ok, before people go ... oh it should have been in the game...blah blah blah...
If you don't want then don't buy. Simple!
Appearently there is going to be a season pass too... I guess I'll be buying that with my cheap MS points from ebay
Season Pass - 4000MS points... dam I only have 3990. Have to go fill in another survey.

I am guessing there is mayeb 2 reasons.
1. Make more money
2. Keep the interest in the game by releasing content at regular intervals.

I understand their decision. I actually agree with it. Horizon looks massive anyway. You are getting your money's worth even if the DLC is extra. (which I will be buying BTW)

Re: Forza Horizon Rally Expansion
Don't forget that the main game is only on ONE disk this time.
I knew that there would be plenty of DLC coming out for this title.
Might have to look into those cheap M$ Points...
Unsure about the season pass but a rally add on would be fun.

There's some interesting things in the expansion, tyres springs and gearboxes all specifically for Rally.
Some additional detail

Looking forward to it.
Oh for Frig sake...
Why are you posting in a Horizon thread when you already have a negative bias towards the game in which nothing they ever bring out will impress you at all? I mean i have a severe dislike of a number of games that people play here but at least i've stopped being a child about it.

Because I'm entitled to voice my opinion on this just like you and everyone else. I will be getting the REP and will probably enjoy it for a short amount of time just like I did with the main game. It will just get boring VERY quickly IMO.

^^^
It's pretty bor
IMO, It's deffinitely not worth 1600MSP.
Some of the roads are the same as the ones already in the game except that they have dirt on them and others are exactly the same. It held my attention for about 30 seconds.
So if I were you I would wait for it to go on sale.

An opinion!
But in all seriousness, I will wait for it to go on sale before I get it. If it's just some already-used tarmac roads with some gravel from Bunnings poured on it then I think I might even just pass on this one.

Clarksons exaggerating, as expected.
There are some new roads i believe, but for the most part it is pretty much how you described it. However i only actually noticed when i recognized some surrounding features like the mountains going into the Dam area. After that it became more noticeable, and they did do a good job in hiding it. You won't recognize many of them straight away.
What IS disappointing is that in each Rally some stages are just forwards backwards forwards backwards. What would be interesting to see is if in the multiplayer you can line up a bunch of drastically different stages one after the other to avoid the repetitive feeling you get doing the actual events.
While i do think its fun, its not worth 1600 points. Also each event is roughly ten minutes long, so thats a good 70 minutes worth of race time, let alone choosing your car, painting, taking photos and all the other cool stuff that comes with finally having the kind of events to go with the paints on most Evo's and WRX's.

Thoroughly enjoyed it crimson. Only up to the 3rd round. But I'm going Mac difficulty and trying to win. Bloody hard...

Re: Forza Horizon Rally Expansion
If you take as a bit of fun - like the rest of the game, its ok.
Basically its the same as the main game but with alleged rally parts on the cars and decent grip on dirt (I've only tried B class cars so far).
Fun? Yes, a bit, but seems limited in single player. Depends whats avaialble in multi as well.
Worth 1600 points? not imo.

Re: Forza Horizon Rally Expansion
I'm loving it. The first set of stages is fairly easy and I was a bit annoyed that the 4th stage is the combination of the stages I'd already raced.
I'm onto the second comp which is a lot bumpier with much bigger jumps and drops where you really need to know the jumps and drops to go fast. I keep going over a jump, landing at the launch of another jump and flying into walls because I was going way too fast for the first jump. I'm finding it very challenging and keep replaying the stage until I learn it and win.
My biggest pet peeve is that if you start a comp and only complete 2 stages then quit, you have to do it all again next time you start. It doesn't save your progress in that competition.
