Why will caruso leave GRM?
His contract ends
Who will go to GRM if he leaves?
Chaz Mostert or Scott McLaughlin
Who even cares about Reindler?
.....
Who will sponsor Charlie Schwerkolts FPR entry, And who is driving it?
No idea - dont care
Does Dicky give a toss about his DJR?
Yes, this year has basically had no focus to it. The #18 car hasn't had a good run because DJR is loosing it next year
Is Brock going back to bathurst one last time this year?
He is forever there its his Mountain
Im going to go across the street and get you some orange sherrrrrrrrrr berrrrrrrrrrt.

Re: 2012 V8 Supercars Discussion
Its Brocky's mountain. his DNA is in the mountain... Someone could win 10 in a row and it will still be brocky's mountain..
There will never be another like him, his apprentice comes close but there is only one king of the mountain. Gone but not forgotten.

I also hope that Murph has a dive as well. If not, I hope he's at HRT or Red Bull Racing for the Enduros.sempeR wrote:I really hope Murph has a ride next year.

1.Why will caruso leave GRM? $$$$$$ and a factory drive.
2.Who will go to GRM if he leaves? Not sure but I wouldn't mind betting that it might be Scott McLaughlin. He is a great young talent and we all know Garry and young drivers, Some names that come to mind "Whincup, Tander, Richards, Holdsworth"
3. Who will sponsor Charlie Schwerkolts FPR entry, And who is driving it?.This is another possability for Caruso. As for the sponsor, I'm not quite sure. I'll have a think about it.
And yes Recoil that Bentley is AWESOME

Re: 2012 V8 Supercars Discussion
Awwwww i wish Holdsworth stayed at GRM.
Caruso will do well in an FPR car though. But most of the guy on the grid will do well in a factory drive. Only few will excell.
Lets not forget McLaughlin is already financed by Fujitsu.
HRT and 888 enduro gigs will be tough to get in to, but the Murph has history with HRT, and he driven at the mountain (and won) with Lowndes, so id say he would be a good chance for either. Tbo, id rather see him do that than run around filling the grid.

Lowndes to pay tribute to Brock with special livery
Craig Lowndes will pay a special tribute to his late mentor Peter Brock with a unique, one-off livery on his #888 TeamVodafone Commodore at next weekend’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
Lowndes, the winner of four of the last five V8 Supercars races, will compete with a replica retrospective colour scheme, and according to the team’s media alert this morning, the look of the car will depict “one of Peter Brock’s most recognised and successful race cars.”
The #888 entry will be driven by Lowndes and his Dick Smith Sandown 500 winning co-driver Warren Luff.
The #1 TeamVodafone Holden of championship leader Jamie Whincup and Paul Dumbrell will remain in its regular red and black look.
The look of Lowndes’ car will be unveiled on Wednesday (October 3) in TeamVodafone’s garage at Mount Panorama.
Lowndes and Brock’s long-time partner Bev Brock will unveil the car.
Since Brock’s passing in September 2006 and the introduction of the ‘Peter Brock Trophy’ (awarded to the winner of the Bathurst 1000), Lowndes has won the race four times.
The one-off livery is one of a number of special colour schemes that will be seen at Mount Panorama next weekend, celebrating 50 years of ‘The Great Race.’
Dick Johnson Racing unveiled a #17 Tru-Blu Falcon, depicting Johnson’s 1980 ‘rock’ and 1981 Bathurst-winning Falcon XDs. The car will be seen in Norton colours, driven by James Moffat and Alex Davison.

Yep, That's not even remotely funny.
But it's so typical to hate on people when they are doing well.

So who is going to bathurst for the big race? I would like to send a big bag of super jealous to all of you who get to experience the great race first hand and i hope you all have a ball. I will be putting my money on lowndesy but would love to see gizzy take it to em as well. Hopefully it rains because i think the two of them are possibly the best drivers to watch in the wet too.

Sorry clarko, it made me chuckle.
And its not a case off 'hate because he's doing well' for me but its his attitude.
He's crap attitude had been caught at least twice this year on camera, both time he's finished on the podium.
Most teams would treat a 3rd as a race win, there hard work has paid off and a podium is the reward - not claim they didn't have car speed all day.
Appart from wanting either Giz/youlden or Moff/davidson on the top rung at bathurst and being realistic about it because they wont, Id like to see Lowdowns take the win this year, especially after Roland Dane basically cost him and Scaife the win last year stacking #888 in the pits.

FIRST PICS: FPR reveals retro Bathurst 1000 liveries
Ford Performance Racing has revealed its retrospective liveries for this weekend’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
The three factory Fords will represent two of Ford’s great victories at Mount Panorama, including the famous 1977 1-2 finish by Allan Moffat and Colin Bond.
The #5 and #6 Falcons will depict the Moffat and Bond XC Hardtops, while the #55 Bottle-O Racing car will pay homage to the 1967 race-winning Falcon of Harry Firth and Fred Gibson. The Reynolds/Canto car will compete under the number ’52.’
The liveries will be part of the celebrations around the 50th year of the Bathurst endurance race taking place at Mount Panorama this weekend.
The 1977 form finish is one of the most iconic scenes from the Bathurst 1000, and #6 Trading Post driver Will Davison says that
“The passion of our sport really comes to a head at Bathurst every single year, though perhaps never more so than this year with the 50th year celebrations and what we as a team are doing,” 2009 race winner Davison said.
“It’s an honour to go there as a factory Ford driver racing with the colours from arguably the company’s greatest moment. Our cars look amazing and I think we’ve really done justice to the 1977 team.
“We are going to Bathurst to hopefully replicate that moment for all our die hard Ford fans. There would be nothing better than to repeat that famous 1-2 finish this year with Frosty (Mark Winterbottom), Richo (Steve Richards) and Johnny Mac (McIntyre).”
Winterbottom praised FPR’s design team for capturing the likeness of the 1977 livery.
“The team has done an amazing job to accurately recreate the colour scheme and I think all V8 Supercars fans, Ford and Holden alike, will appreciate it,” the Orrcon Steel FPR driver said.
The team’s garage has also been given a makeover with new walling which carries the names of many of Ford’s past Bathurst winners plus a unique reflective design of the current car against the 1977 race winner.
The three FPR cars will join the James Moffat’s ‘Tru-Blu’ scheme and Craig Lowndes, who will reveal his Peter Brock-inspired Commodore on Wednesday.
