Re: Steering Wheel stetups. Show us yours!!!!
I am thinking of dragging the MS Wheel out and starting to use it on FM3,
Given my living arrangement's and smaller lounge room, I was thinking of the Wheel Stand Pro to mount the MS wheel,
http://www.wheelstandpro.com/
Any one who has used this there feed back would be appreciated or comment's/opinion's on this product are encouraged?
And will the Wheel Stand Pro take multiple racing wheel's for Xbox 360?
As the MS wheel is becoming discontinued an updated wheel will be in the shopping cart, But what wheel to use on Xbox 360 that also can be used on other gaming format's, ie PS3, PC as well?

Re: Steering Wheel stetups. Show us yours!!!!
That looks good Sleuth. If you look in options you can buy one that suits both xbox and PS3 wheels. Price is steepish, but looks easy to use and store. Personally I'd just like a wheel that #%#$ing works.
BTW no wheels can be used on both xbox and ps3 out of the box that I know of, although some of the logitech ps3 wheels can be modified (complicated and risky) to work with xbox, but most ps3 wheels work with PC as well.
Anyone know when the new MS wheel is coming? I know, google it.

Re: Steering Wheel stetups. Show us yours!!!!
My new setup, VRC (Virtual Racing Chair) with microsoft Wheel, Have a Monitor stand for it also.
Pity I'm hopless at driving with the wheel, I think I need to adjust the wheel setup's, Anyone know what setting's the wheel should be on?, ie deadzones for clutch, brake, accelerator, and steering axix deadzone's?
[img][/img]
Note the gear shifter spot doubles as stubbie holder...

Re: Steering Wheel stetups. Show us yours!!!!
Nice Sluethy! love it, very jealous of the drink holder, i dont have that with mine.
Umm as far a setup.
I have small deadzone in the middle so you can turn a little without actually turning the car.
Also i have a little deadzone on the brake pedal so i dont engage the brake as soon as i touch it, i like a bit of pedal. Grab an old sponge (high density stuff is best but an old car sponge will do) and stuff it under the pedals so its gives it some resistance, youll love that mod for sure!.
Depending on how tight the sterring wheel is fixed maybe hit a couple of zip ties around it so its locked in and doesnt move at all.
If ya see me online hit me up and ill run through my settings to see if ya like em, i cant recall the exact figs on deadzones etc so best bet is to party up!
hope it helps mate!

Kinda been playing with them, Still not quite right,
Take me hat of to the guy's running the Wheel though, Dam heaps of fun, and more fun BUT lap times are suffering, Kinda get what people mean about tunes for wheel's and tune's for controller's..
Will be doing a full review with more pics in the coming day's of the VRC.

Re: Steering Wheel stetups. Show us yours!!!!
Yep look for tunes that state they are for wheels, hand control tunes will not be great for ya unless you get them gifted and can alter them, purchased ones you cant alter.
you wanna decrease brake pressure and you will have to adjust gearing to suit.
Anything Mitch (call me stig) has in the free tunes area is with wheel, and always good tunes.
Make sure you ask people if they use wheel for tunes, itll help in the long run.
You will get better times on a controller but you wont feel like a real driver while you do it, opposite lock on a hand controller is nothing compared to full against feedback lock on your wheel.
Get a fan and crank it up too, makes ya feel like the windows down haha

Re: Steering Wheel stetups. Show us yours!!!!
I started with lower class cars and slowly increasing to cars with higher PI. Don't jump straight into the A+ class cars to learn the wheel - it gets frustrating. I will check my settings and msg them to you next time I'm on.
PS Love the VCR, but I fear my wife would cut my b@ll$ off if one of them showed up.
+1 for fantec, come on lotto!

Re: Steering Wheel stetups. Show us yours!!!!
My wheel settings are:
Steering inside deadzone = 0%, outside deadzone = 90%
Throttle inside deadzone = 0%, outside deadzone 100%
Brake inside deadzone = 0%, outside deadzone 100% ++ Use sponge under the brake pedal for more pedal pressure/feel
Clutch inside deadzone = 0%, outside deadzone 100%, irrelevant because its a digital clutch button on the wheel.

Re: Steering Wheel stetups. Show us yours!!!!
Well Sluethys setup is pretty good.......but.
I just bought 2 front seats from the wreckers......they are both from a 2002 Commodore VX Berlina....which means velour, comfy buckets and electric control (for the seat itself, up and down......choice!!!!!!)
Yes, that does say "Airbag" LOL
My table will need modification, its too low now because the seat is higher.....but bloody comfy as
