You're absolutely right Dazza. And look who are the main culprits. Forum administrators.
Seems you can never find a moderator when you need one.
Now, back off topic,
Interesting and pleasing info regarding local warranty Dazza.
If someone was to purchase from the USA or elsewhere obviously warranty returns would go back to point of sale, more expensive.
Add the initial cost of shipping from OS to the local price and the difference is reduced.
I wouldn't blame anyone for trying to save on initial outlay, this gear is expensive!
Hopefully no problems with the gear means a cheaper purchase. Local purchase suggests less hassle to get repairs. Thats what you need to decide on.
Oh yeah, if you buy from OS you will need to get a power plug adaptor to suit local electicity sockets. Not a big thing but necessary.
Has anyone confirmed that you can actually get the wheel shipped here by an agent in the USA. If so, how much? Thats the question now...

Seems his thread is officially hijacked,
You can also purchase Fanatec Products (wheel, and rennsport wheel stand) from The Gamesmen, In Australia.

Wow nice find, & it says "in stock" too, so I'm guessing they have them in Aus already. Might email them & see.
Also, I was looking around their website out of curiosity & saw a "Mouse Controller" they have advertised for FPS on Xbox (coming soon), it looks like it could be a game changer, making FPS on xbox more like on PC..

Well found sleuth, isn't it always the way, one minute nothing - then suddenly the thing you couldn't buy for love nor money is everywhere!
I called Gamesmen this morning for you Reapr.
Ok, I was curious...
At present, they have 5+ fanatec 911S clubsport packages in stock, $699.00.
Their webshop quotes $28.00 or $30.00 COD for delivery by Aus Post, but the sales guy said it might be more depending on destination, due to the weight of the item. He said to talk to "Theo" tomorrow to confirm delivery cost. Also the kit doesn't include the wireless dongle for PS3 and PC connection (value $49.00).
So based on that info, I think the deal with Pagnian for the GT2 package is reasonable.
$799.00 = GT2 clubsport package, free delivery and free wireless dongle. Obviously the freebies are factored into the purchase price. Delivery is overnight courier to your door and insured.
Compared to $699.00 for the 911S package + postage (minm $28.00) + the RF dongle $49.00 = $776.00.
The difference is a massive $23.00 (maybe less depending on actual postage from Gamesmen). Seems the only advantage is its available right now. I'll wait, I like the look of the GT2 wheel better

Re: G25/G27 on Xbox!!!
Didn't think there were any Turbo S wheels left. They must have made some more. I'll wait for the GT2 2nd gen wheel. I know they say it is exactly the same but I doubt it very much. At the very least it will have up-to-date firmware at least. I'm guessing all the bugs and annoying little things (if any) from the first wheel will probably be corrected.

I'd take a guess that Gamesmen were one of the last to have their order filled from the original batch. Would've thought there'd be some advertising and wheels available direct from fanatec if there had been a second batch.
I would think there'd be some refinements in build details in the newer wheels as well.
Not that there'd be a big difference between GT2 and Turbo S wheels.

It seems a little odd to me that the prices at Paganian - in Australian dollars are exactly the same as the prices at SIM parts in NZ dollars given that your dollar is stronger than ours, and I would expect freight to be more expensive to NZ if anything....

Oh no,
Dazza, looks like an attempt to hijack this thread back to the original subject.
Do we have rules about that?
Well done Rollz.
@Rollz, just a bit of a joke mate, no offence meant in my comment. This thread started off talking about the xtc converter. Then got seriously hijacked to the fanatec GT2 wheel (by admin no less). You've almost succeeded in bringing back on topic.
btw, good to see you on forum.

For those of you mad enough and I am beginning to think sensible enough to be getting this wheel even though you all know all you need to about the fanatec wheel here's a review:

I just knew the wheel would be better than the turbo s. Funny, they didn't give the MS wheel a comparison score lol

Nice find Arckon, you can never have too much information (well maybe sometimes you can). A good review even if it is a bit long winded. All I have to do is survive the M$ wheel until the GT2 gets here.

They reviewed the MS wheel many months ago, while they didn't bag it, they gave the similar impression as being the only choice in force feedback wheel it wasn't too bad, but you could tell from that interview on there on the fanatec wheel what they really think when they said as far as they are concerned this is the only wheel suitable for the 360.
I've been watching their reviews for a couple of years now, thought everyone was aware of the site, here is there main page for anyone interested:

Inside Sim Racing have a 8 min review on the F1 XCM Crossfire Converter. Appears to work rather averagely where force feedback is concerned though.

Re: G25/G27 on Xbox!!!
has anyone here used one of these XCM F1 converters? it doesn't look promising in the reviews but i was curious if someone found it worked ok. i just bought a G27 to get started in Iracing, and wondered if i should get the converter, or just stick to using the controller for Forza. thanks.
