Post by mad DANNO 29 Tue Jul 23, 2013 11:37 am

Hey guys.....as you may see in my sig I am now an xbox community ambassador.

So just letting any one know that if they have any issues with their xbox let me know here and I may be able to help out as I have access to a huge database of conflict/problem resolutions.

Clicking the pic in my sig will take you to the Ambassador chat to get your issue sorted if I don't respond here straight away

Cheers

Hey Danno

Need a bit of xbox live help

A friend (really Rolling Eyes ) has forgot his password and when xbox did a update a few weeks back it required him to log in.

Unable to he sent off. He on his PC used the "forgot password" link and received a email to reset, upon following the instructions and creating a new password it reset an older GT that he hasn't used for 3 yrs but still cannot get access or log in on his current gold GT.

any ideas or info whom to contact to correct.

Ps your link in the pic dosnt work Smile

not sure why it's pulled up an old profile. didn't think you could use one email for more than one xbox profile.

he should go to https://xcl.xbox.com/ and chat with an ambassador.

but may end up with him calling xbox support to get it sorted

Is there anyway to change the email address linked to my Xbox account when I can't actually access the email account I originally linked it to? The email I originally used was an @live.com address but I haven't used it for so long I've forgotten the password and can no longer access it. I've got my current email set as an alternative but I'd much rather it be my main email.

Mine used to do this from time to time, I've no idea why. If you haven't already tried, when you turn it off hold your finger on the power button on the console for a few seconds (it should then turn off whilst finger is on the button still), this clears the "cache". Might not even help but its worth a go.

YEP...what reaper said.... sounds like you need to clear the cache and do a hard reset.... power off using the bottom on the box and then unplug from power brick, unplug power brick from power source and leave for 30 seconds. then connect it all back up and turn on from the xbox, not the controller
