Re: Show Us your Ride!!!
Dude convert it to a single turbo! HKS TO4Z or something, its got forged internals, It will be able to take like 40psi no worries so you would be very safe running like 20psi! Plus with a TO4Z on 20psi, with the right tuning will get you around the 400kw atw mark! Other than that dude, you got yourself a well built and looked after GTR!

Re: Show Us your Ride!!!
Wilson told me about this lasty night Dukley, nice buy! hahahaha the number plate has a "Double D" hahahaha choice! I hope it brings you many happy moments, & I'm sure it will
& mini spool, ROFL bwahhahahahahahahahaha let him enjoy it before he goes turning it into the the HKS drag GTR & blowing it up, A+ for excitement but!
He already has twin garret ball bearing turbo conversion, which means it already moves its booty very well + at the moment it would be a very drivable street car with not much lag at all & some serious useable horsepower, kickar5e!

Re: Show Us your Ride!!!
Its a Forged RB26.. You couldn't blow that thing up with 20 psi no matter how much you thrashed it!

Umm, actually yes you could quite easily. Forged motors aren't indestructable & plenty of people blow them up thinking that they are. boost figures will all be variable depending on the turbo etc setup so just throwing "20psi" out there means nothing either, is that 20psi on a massive turbo making 1100hp at 8000rpm or 20psi on twin turbos making 600hp & boosting at 3000rpm..... Its all variable dude...

Re: Show Us your Ride!!!
Well yeah I guess its no 2JZ GTE, but the HKS TO4Z is a 650hp turbo, so 20psi on that turbo when I think its max is about 30psi, would not be a bad thing! Personally, I just like the sound of a well tuned single turbo RB26 over the sound of a Twin Turbo one! But none theless, its Dukeys and whatever he decides goes! So I guess we just have to wait and see

Lol Mini I think you are missing my point
.... let me try another tactic..... I like evo 9's, so maybe you should go and buy a full conversion for your stock mitsubishi lancer (stock non turbo motors are ok hehe but the evo's go soooo much better, just my opinion though lol) & put a rigoli full forged internal evo engine & driveline in it & then get a To4-e (Not the z, because the one I saw when I read about them had an -e so there is NO other option because that's the only one I read about) & then fit NOS (because the one in the magazine did) & go & run a 9 second 1/4 & every weekend because the car won't blow up or anything & then post it up because that's what I saw in a magazine once so that's what you should do too because I saw that & only that so now that's the mods I know to do to that car (instead of doing what you wanted to as the OWNER lol) ......... actually I don't understand why you haven't done that already!!!!
see my point? Enjoy your ride dukey, its kickar5e!

Re: Show Us your Ride!!!
Yeah I know what your saying. And I would much rather build up my stock engine and keep it NA. I would much rather have 200kw atw na than have 220 kw atw with a turbo! Guess I'll just have to wait till I get my skyline!

In all seriousness youll have a good time in this though, scare a few B turbo's in it lol, run v-tec's off the road in 2nd gear lol and own a few mitsi's

Re: Show Us your Ride!!!
^^HA!, you arent from around Penrith by any chance are you?? Blokes who run the workshop at local servo have a couple off road karts similar to that
I guess ill chime in, no pics of boring VY Commodore, nothing special just the daily, so i'll share my dirty little secret...a Hyundai Excel.
I have never really liked these cars until i realized i could shoehorn in a early evo (1,2 or 3) or VR4 4G63t. Got the car for free, had a spare engine laying around in the garage. Seeing as tho its a toy car, i've been trying to avoid throwing alot of cash at it, so all work has been done by myself with the exception of one or two small things. The whole "theme" is to try and make it look as stock as possible, both inside and out.
Quick list of stuff done or on the car
VR4 4G63t conversion
Cometic MLS Headgasket
12mm ARP head studs
GTPumps Exhaust manifold
TD05-16g Turbo
Evo 8 MR Blow off valve
Evo 3 Airbox and AFM
Stainless steel dump pipe
3 inch mandrel bent exhaust
3 inch in, 3 inch out Varex muffler
2.5 inch mandrel bent intercooler piping
VR4 intercooler (modified with larger in and outlets)
Aeromotive 340lph Stealth fuel pump
Battery moved to the boot.
Chipped and bayed VR4 Ecu with Ostrich emulator v2.0
Turbosmart dual stage boost controller
Twin 10 inch thermo fans
It's just about finished, was planning to drive it for the first time last weekend, but i recently lost my job as there wasnt enough work to keep us going, so the car is on the back burner for a little while
When i got it (after a wash)
Out with the old.....
In with the new.... (prior to get all pipework and bits painted)

Re: Show Us your Ride!!!
I can't for the life of me find the pics of my '00 Rodeo ute ('cause i'm country).
Previous car, XF Falcon. Loved this old beast. 1 week after selling the new owner managed to burn it to the ground in a paddock somehow.
I sold my '04 Triumph Daytona 600 to my brother in law because I have trouble with the whole 'throttle control' thing and got done @ 190km/h.
Bought in a candy red colour, repainted 'Triumph Tangerine' and finally Satin Black with exhaust wrap/evrything powdercoted black. Loads of extra bits and bobs like PowerCommander, custom undertail, integrated blinkers, 3 different exhaust cans, headlight covers, crash bungs/armour and stuff.
This was my stock pipe which I chopped off the final 6" which was basically all baffle and turned it into a 6" stumpy GP style straight through pipe.
