I think I might use no clutch Cool

I don't think the clutch works anyway, I know it makes no difference on the fanatec anyway.

Is there even an option for a clutch ?

Come on Dazza use a manual gearbox.

Lol, I have reassigned my paddle shifters to KERS and DRS.

I can't think fast enough to remember to change gears.

Was wondering if others are going to run no assists with this? as been doing that throughout career mode and would like to for this series as well. but if not using them could handicap myself exspecially in the rain? (yeah I dont want to be the only one flailling miserably with tcs off)
i run no assists and getting quicker and in the wet its more fun

Stratergy will play a big part in this I think, given some of the 30% races and how stratergy works there, not to mention the DSQ and running out of fuel scenario

Should be fun.

This has a lot of stuff Forza should have.

Although we will still acknowledge the CoC, we will leave most of it up to the flags and rules in game.

You're right Dazza - it does have a lot of stuff that Forza should. One of the major advantages that it does have over Forza is that it's a lot more focused - it's trying to reproduce a singe real world series, and does quite a good job of doing so.

Forza tries to be too much of everything for everyone to include some of the more detailed features..... and IMO it's drifting towards the casual player since the release of FM2.

So, we good for a test run tonight, 20% races and fill the grid with AI's on the hardest level.

We may have to choose other cars to allow the AIs to have our cars. That way we can see if they are really equal.

There should be a bit of a spread of AI - given there's a couple of Ferrari's that aren't wanted, and all of the slower teams... If they are competitive with each other with that sort of spread, then it's a reasonable assumption that they will be competitive in our cars.

DISLIKE like how when online racing the AI's and the Angry Idiots(most noticably poms) brake early on purpose and it cost you -5 xp if you get into them... Id say rear ending but Id never want to rear end anyone let alone a AI and our english speaking cousins. Cost me -200xp for all the err umm early breaking causing drivers to run into others going on last night.

Going to be much better when the CoC comes into it. Should be less of the above Embarassed

Not sure you should use the terms CoC and Rear Ending in the same post.

It seems to be a trend with the poms. I think because Codemaster are from the UK, the poms think they own F1. They were the same with Grid, they got very passionate with that too.

Would be good if we could run the whole series at once, then you would have to manage engines too.

Looks like McLaren are going to have to give me more practice time. They say they are going to stop giving me the borgwarner 35 tranny, and I will have to learn how to change gears.

Last night was a blast, the AIs on Legend is much better. They seem a little more predictable to me.

Demon and Clarkson are going to be the ones to beat I think, they seem to be able to keep their cars in (almost) one piece. I can not believe 3 of us got DSQ at Monarco, I was so looking forward to holding up the AIs there.

Anyway, top fun Thanks. I hope to jump on sometime over the weekend for a bit of testing without the aid of a torque converter.
