F1 2011 Series

Ok Guys,

Here it is, the OZFM F1 Series.

This series will be on Friday nights and run for 19 weeks.

Starting March 23 with a practice run for multiplayer game setups.






The race night will consist of 2 x 20 minute qualifying sessions, the first one will act as a practice session for the track and the second will be for setting the starting grid.

We will run up to 16 real players then fill the rest of the grid with AIs. 24 cars on the grid and run 75% race distances.

This thread is for expressions of interest and I will set up a folder for those who are invited to compete. So let me know who wants in. We can only run 16 drivers.

Once you have shown an expression of interest in the series, I will add you to the F1 2011 Series 1 folder where you can select your team car.

I'm keen will have to fit in some F1 practice before then though..

Does the 'car performance - equal' in the lobby settings mean that all teams are completely equal? Including those that didn't have KERS in 2011?

Yep, all cars have the same upgrades and all cars have KERS including HRT. I thought it would make it better for us running a series like that.

The Multiplayer online does not have practice sessions so we will run 2 qualifying sessions. After the first one, we will just start the round again giving us a second qualifying session to set the grid. No points for the first qualifying session, just a practice run to make sure setups are ok.

Yep will miss anumber of weeks with a move coming up but definatley keen, tho admit not to sure on this rules and flags being realistic and car damage, maybe limited?

oh, you will be ok. I know for a fact my pit crew have an unlimited number of front nose cones.

Should take about 2 hours for 1 x 20 min Practice + 1 x 20 Qualifying + 1 x 75% race.

If we start at 8:30 PM AEST we should be done by 10:30 PM AEST.

ah thanks muchly Dazza. kind of pushing my luck considering i have to get up at 4:30 am, but this is far too tempting to not make an effort.

Still have 8 places left on the grid.

pity its on Fridays.........id love to have a go.
