First Project Cars series on OZFM

What: First project cars series on OZFM (on xbox)
When : Tuesday Nights starting 26/05

Ok seeing as Project Cars releases this week and we haven't had any big official series here for a while I figured I would get the ball rolling here. The series will run at the usual OZFM Tuesday night time slot. I've put down a start date of the 26th, this gives us two weeks to get set up and comfortable with the game. I posted a number of different options for the series in a poll mainly consisting of lower tier motorsports

Lobby options for multiplayer:






We will be limited to 16 per lobby so we will need a way to split them if we have more than 16 sign ups. I would propose a pre qualifying system to determine the lobbys.

For night set up I would suggest something like this:
8:30 Lobby opens and 30 minute Practice begins (as far as I know you join a session in progress)
9:00 Qualifying session - 15 minutes
9:15 Warm up - 5 minutes
9:20 Race start

Sounds great - I've voted 'other' in the poll, but that can be translated as either "any of the above would, or any similar junior racing category" or as "lets choose once we've had a blat in a few different cars". (Planning to go MIA from work for a few hours today if mine turns up - apparently shipped yesterday )

I would personally love the main series race nights on Sunday, due to working during the week sometimes keeps me away from Xbox. I can see me turning up late each Tuesday night.

If Sunday can be the night maybe start a series up after the club car series finishes end of May. This will give plenty of time to test and organise a great 1st series on pCars and info on OZFM?

I'm more keen on the early Beamers and Mercs. Find I'm clicking with them more so far.

Looking at this stage like it will be open wheel, most likely the formula gulfs as they're easier to drive then the formula rookies and provide really close racing

depending on possible numbers, maybe run this series in conjunction with pc users. luv to get back into some online racing once i get a few things sorted.

I reckon the GT3 would be pretty good. Ive Been driving them around abit and they are really fun to drive and also easy to drive so we could have some close racing. The Formula Rookies are good to drive as well but just try to not touch wheels as I have done many back flips from that haha.

up for anything..... still trying to get a handle on this game using a controller.... slowly getting better.

found that using helmet cam is the better view and keeps me pointed in the right direction.... most of the time

need to get a wheel soon though

Danno, a wheel with this is sooooo much better, I definitely reccomend getting one.

Also the car will be the formula gulf 1000. Test night to be held next tuesday 19/05
