Might not be able to make it tonight... If I'm not on by 9.00 I won't be there... Have fun.

sorry about pulling out on the formation lap. wheels stuffed big time atm. normally a motor calibration will get me a couple of days before it stuffs up again but as soon as i turned the 1st corner it went and i had not practiced enough on controller would have caused accidents.
good news is my 3rd tx is currently in china.

Re: OZFM V8 Series X Round 2 [2nd-9th September] Nurburgring GP
I had awful lag all 3 races last night. A lag spike in R1 totalled my car. There were a few times I tapped cars in R3 but due to the lag the collision detection was way off which made it difficult and exaggerated the collisions. Apologies if anyone was on the receiving end. I'm hoping to have my net sorted in the next week, although I know others in the room experienced lag and lag spikes also.

Re: OZFM V8 Series X Round 2 [2nd-9th September] Nurburgring GP
There was some horrible fast slow lag for the first two races. When the host decided to turn off the wifi for race 3 I didnt notice any fast slow lag at all .Would be nice in future if the host could also check their own connection beforehand especially considering several others went to the effort of resetting their own modems etc and rejoined the room since the host (was the only person who) couldn't see which car people had picked. Might mean that we dont start first race at 9.30 too. Also got major lag punt in race 2 by Evil who was going sideways even on the start grid.
Other than that, had enjoyable racing with Suncrossed, Hillcrest, and b77777777

Yeah I told the others to not use the net on Tuesdays. Apparently YouTube isn't on the internet...
As for starting on time it was due to joining rooms together. Not lag

I know that starting late wasn't due to lag as we were waiting on danno to join (he was having xbox issues) once we merged rooms. just saying for next time, having to get others to rejoin over and over due to not seeing their cars can hopefully be avoided by everyone resetting modem beforehand (this becomes more important if you are hosting and don't want to have to back out and start up another room).. Not pinpointing you, just making an observation.

Re: OZFM V8 Series X Round 2 [2nd-9th September] Nurburgring GP
Room 1 was plagued with network issues all night as well. Race 1 finally started at 945pm, but first two races we had no chat. No Recoil got absolute pummelled by Caderz on the out lap even though Caderz was 200mtrs up the road (replay on his Upload....funny as shit), Stu never took a trick as well (to no fault of his own).......lots of stop-start-speedup moments....shitloads of restarts....
It was rather frustrating for all I think. We spent most of the lobby time between racers apologising for the prangs....Anyway, just like most of our cars - last night was a write-off.

I think it just shows Room 2 has the more focused drivers.
P.S. I just noticed I'm a world champion and have a trophy. What did I do to achieve that? It's not part of the new mentality for kids that everyone's a winner is it.
