I made a build with the help of Clarko. Do you want that seeing as it was his idea?Dektra wrote:GT86 is built and is in the club gar.... If one of the Admins could make a thread for a GT68 Cup so I can start working with Recoil and Surfer to set it up that would be awesome

Sorry... I completely forgot about the series RU is running for the wheelers for the next 3 weeks... Sorry RU.
Maybe this will give these guys enough time to set up the GT86 Cup and maybe ditch the CoOp Cup for now.

5 Weeks would be fine daz. Heaps of time.Dazza4610 wrote:How long do you guys need to set this up... I will run the Co-Op Cup for the few weeks you guys might need. Do you think 4-5 weeks to give enough people time to get the xbone and fm5, maybe some credits to buy parts etc.
Yeah I'll have a look at it tonight after the blancpain race.Tastyyx wrote:I made a build with the help of Clarko. Had no idea this had happened or even that clarko had the same concept, but thanks anyway.Tastyyx wrote:I made a build with the help of Clarko. We worked out a build yesterday afternoon. Cars are fun and easy to drive with only 4 adjustable points 2 on the diff and your front and rear tyres, makes it more about the racing rather then who can tune the best.

I knew Clarko was interested in them. But didn't know Tasty had made a build. It's much the same as ours recoil. Just without the exhaust upgrade and no body kitsNoRecoil wrote:Had no idea this had happened or even that clarko had the same concept, but thanks anyway.Tastyyx wrote:I made a build with the help of Clarko. no body kits... that's about all I have been able to do to my GT86, it is looking sweet with the body kit.

I'll chuck up a poll for them, see which people want to drive. I like both personally, I like the accuracy of Tasty's model, and it's something I've tried to do in a few of my series. But at the same time I like modifying it slightly to give it our own twist. I'll let the community decide.

Do we just search for your gamertags to sample the builds?

Cheers to Clarko for the inspiration for the series, The GT86 cup is under construction!
What are people thinking as tracks?
I'm thinking 6 rounds, one round a week with two tracks changed per series.
Main Stay Tracks:
- Bathurst
- Yas Marina North
- Road Atlanta Full
- Le Mans Bugatti Circuit

What's wrong with cat school in slow cars? It's a great little track for close intense racing, as is Sebring short. Daytona on the othe hand...

+1 for cat school and sebring short - they may not have pits but i was going to suggest that we didn't use the long tracks anyway.sempeR wrote:What's wrong with cat school in slow cars? It's a great little track for close intense racing, as is Sebring short. Daytona on the othe hand...
Sebring Club
Cataluyna School
Road Atlanta club
Sliverstone Club
Bathurst
Bugatti Circuit
All club circuits could be used as the national rather then club (or in Road Atlantas case the full)

Race format:
Qualifying 3 laps ghosts
Races = collisions always on. +1 formation lap
30km race
60km race reverse grid
30km race
Pace to be checked for timing. Distance subject to change

Re: FM5 - OZFM GT86 Cup - General Discussion
Is this really the build you guys are going for?! Seems a bit average IMO for a tues night series. Looks like more of a casual event.. Any chance of aero or suspension upgrades n some more power?

The whole idea of this series is focused towards how well you can drive the car and not how well you can tune the car.

Exactly.
There will be plenty of other series that will allow you to tune.
