Re: Unveiling Porsche
I am not sure what the problem is about paying for extra content. It must be because I don't really spend a lot on games, and to buy Forza and all the add ons, I think it will still be cheaper than buying a game that releases a whole new version every year.
How much would we pay for Forza 5 if it was to be realesed this year in October... $100 for LCE?
I am sure they would have the whole car list mapped out well before the release, that is planning and marketing.
I will buy the packs as they come out, just as I have done for the previous versions.
If you dont want to spend the money then dont, no one is making it mandatory. Forza 4 was released we all bought it. I wonder how many of us would have paid $100 for Forza 5 LCE if they held all the extra content and released it all in Forza 5 this year. I know I would have, it is a great game.
My 2 cents

Re: Unveiling Porsche
I'm generally happy to pay a bit more to get add-ons to a game as it adds more value to the game experience.
The only thing that irks me a tiny bit is how I purchase FM3 and all the DLC packs, then when FM4 was released it felt like FM3+DLC+a few extra cars and a few extra tracks. It just made the FM4 launch experience feel a little hollow for me personally,
I appreciate there was considerable work in the new tracks, new cars, and then revised graphics and physics that improve the overall experience significantly. I am still shocked that the centred tacho from bumper cam view from FM2 hasn't been put back - they should have a FM2 HUD DLC, I would buy that!
It would be nice if there was some extra DLC bonus for people who have bought previous packs - but can't complain because I recently managed to win a code for a DLC pack from a forza forum competition. So I guess in that respect it is possible to sometimes get a bit back for free.

Re: Unveiling Porsche
Liking some of the cars that are rolling out, BUT nothing that is truly unique to FM4 at this stage.
The 1970 Porsche 914/6 was a blast in FM2 with it being a super high speed weapon in A+S class on RD Atlanta, be interesting to see where its at in FM4 once the upgrades go into it.

How unique can you get with Porsche... lets face it they have had a similar body shape now for 100 years.

Yep
Then:
356
Now:
991
The ones we need are:
917k
917/30 Can Am
The 917/30 was the most powerful sports car racer ever built and raced. The 5.374-litre 12 cylinder (90.0 x 70.4 mm) twin-turbocharged engine could produce 1,580 bhp (1,180 kW) in qualifying tune, with twin turbochargers run up to full boost, 39 psi (2.7 bar), though it usually raced with around 1,100 bhp (820 kW) at 7,800 rpm to preserve the engine
And the Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus devoloped by Porsche.
This is what we need for public lobbies

Re: Unveiling Porsche
I am such a sucker. Just added enough points to purchase this pack and the top gear one. Hey, might as well spend $200 on this game and get everything lol In a couple of weeks they'll probably bring out the ultimate edition with everything for $50 lol

Re: Unveiling Porsche
456 or a Panzerjäger
2 x 221Kw engines and hull mouted Sd. Kfz. 184 had a accurate range of 3 miles.
It's always been one of my fav tanks.
The crew of these beasts and the Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B use to call the American Shermans "Ronsons" because of an add in germany at the time for the lighter company Ronson.
The slogan on the adverts was “lights first time every time” - One shell is all it took these beasts to rip a sherman into a burning hulk........
Sorry, tank nut
