Petition to get PORSCHE back!!!

Dunno about you guys but I love Porsche and it's a huge part of the Motorsport world so help out by taking the time to read this and give your thoughts, like the facebook page etc.

I have joined a group on Facebook (Let Forza 4 use Porsches) & posted this:

"Just so everyone knows we need to start a 'Petition' and it needs to be in the 1000's. This Petition would explain that all the people on the list would not be apart of purchasing any Need For Speed titles produced by Electronic arts if they do not revoke their recent removal of the Sub-Licence for Porsche's in the Forza Motorsport Series.

I am more then happy to start this, people would need to write down their Full Name, Gamertag, Location & Email for authenticity. Once we have a number that is decent enough to reap EA's profit from the NFS Titles we can send the Petition to Whom It May Concern! We would need someone to of course assist in working out how many people we would need to hurt their sales!?

You can of course say you are not going to Purchase any EA titles entirely inculding Battlefield etc as some people have done. Personally I won't be doing that.

So spread the word and expect more details on a Petition soon. Do give advice as to what you think we should name the Petition. Also would need tones of help to put it together, find out legal obligations etc etc.

i'll have a go anyway i can. sent a very unhappy email to EA already but there's nothing like acting in numbers. probably won't change the stance but they need to be vented on...

Done, and i have to say i'm one of the ones boycotting EA products for a while...the stuff going on with BF3, FM4...its real messy.

One thing I haven't completely understood is the story that T10 have deserved this because they (or Microsoft?) blocked EA from using the Ferrari.
Anyone know anymore about that?

OD, I think theres a lot more to this story than Turn 10's telling us.

keep in mind NFS tiles are the "Steven King" of the book world, new title every 3mths. so I not sure that its the time line is accurate, as to who started what

Turn 10 did state that they had been trying for the last 18mth to get a new sub-licence for Porsche.

So I think this whole mess goes back a long way...

correct me if Im wrong, but I think it has more to do with M$ wanting to retain the Ferrari licence for xbox and Pc. I believe that Shift 1 had some Ferrari's as a DLC but Excluded PS3.

from what Ive read EA wanted all the Ferrari's for all platforms, and M$ wasn't going to have a bar of it and EA then told Turn 10 its nothing for FM4.

M$ only hold (or held maybe) the Ferrari license for the PC and XBOX - so if they were blocked on the PS3 it wasn't by M$. Unless not releasing for the PS3 was a prerequisite for gaining the sub-license on XBOX.

EA have always had issues releasing new content for the PC - which is why they've started the whole Origin thing, and made it compulsory for BF3 on the PC.

The other thing that I think is quite interesting is that in the 'Under the Hood' Brian states that Forza had (not has) the license for Ferrari. If that is actually the case, when did they lose it, and is that part of the reason why there is no reciprocity going on here any more....

if it was just a case of M$ holding out the Ferrari from PS3 that's fair enough, they both do that kind of thing. EA should have no qualms with that. if M$ has let EA use Ferraris for xbox only then they have still let them use it for financial gain, there should be a reciprocation. even GT has sweet f a in the Porshe department.

There is a rumor that the licence expires December this year and porsche are not going to renew. Could mean a whole heap of DLC coming to us a couple of months after release. I'd be happy with that.

T10/M$ only held it for X360/PC and let them use it in Shift1/2 as DLC and shipped respectively. Someone else holds the PS3 license.

EA are just dicks, plain and simple.
