Re: Formula 1 2012
Biggest differances between the two, are price for the game, as always pc versions are cheaper by normally up to half an xbox game, (means you can buy two games at times for the price of one) and the frame rates, 80 FPS for pc vs 30 FPS for xbox. Plus the ability to mod the pc version games, and more peripherals available to a pc user in steering wheel options and controllers(can be cheaper with more options), 3+ screen tv's on one computer not 3 xboxs to do the same(hope they fix that in next gen consoles) , ahh the list goes on and on BUT the xbox is easy just plug and play and then there is your friends and community involved with Xbox but in saying that there also is a very large community on pc to.. So hard call which one to get but either way Im getting it and look forward to it tho would of liked to race against and with some peeps here on the xbox as that was always fun while some others not so much.
So when you buy the xbox at what you paid, plus add the cost of steering wheel(fanatec for anything decent) and then add how many xbox's you have and then add the cost of the games and any extra's, it soon become's apparent that the xbox does cost alot, and given you can build yourself a pc that allows for future upgrades for less than $1000(not all at once just buy the pc parts needed as you can afford to) that can do everything and play any latest game with ease while outperforming gaming consoles including making any other pc's you may have redundant so you need to take that cost of your pc/laptop that is no longer needed into it, what was it you wanted us to call you.. just saying...Tho in all that I still like my xbox and enjoy using and will continue to even if it's just for the ease of it and the social structure that goes with it, and it has Forza...

Umm, all I am saying is, I could not see any difference in the graphic between the xbox and PC versions of F1 2012 Demo. Using the same TV, connected the same way, same wheel, same set of eyes.
I was concidering buying the PC version as my brother has a PC and used PC version of F1 2011. Still I could just get both. Never once did I concider not getting the xbox version though. Looking forward to racing with the same guys I raced (followed) in F1 2011.

Just grabbed my copy & will be on today, c u on the track peeps!
Also, the PC argument is always the same......funny! But seriously, we all know the pro's cons of each, if you love the PC go for it but lets just put it this way. I like my xbox but I wouldn't be caught on a PC gaming forum telling everyone how great xbox is compared to PC (according to my own opinions) & not expecting some sort of response. Just saying :-)
Oh & I bought mine for $79 at JB off the shelf but funnily enough the PC version wasn't $39.50, wasn't anything near that actually! Go figure.

Yep, I will be on tonight as a "Young Driver" feels good to say that... lol
I Preordered mine from EBGames, paid $89.00, but you get that when you live in the big city. Did not even look at the price for PC. Figured if and only if I feel the need for the PC version I will grab it from the bargin bin.

Lol, no just listing the pro n cons, as said I like my xbox to, it was just to clarify the differences between the two seems my post got edited when quoted and then there was a comparison on price differences mentioned, and as always an interesting topic with definate benifits to both, not bagging out anyone of the two, as for price $47.50 for pc version if bought online, just saying :-) BUT like I said I still like my xbox and enjoyed racing F1 with you guy's on it and that alone with the community and friends on xbox makes it practical and worthwhile in most cases, imo.

Re: Formula 1 2012
There will be no difference in visuals aside from increased Anti-aliasing since its a console port, made on the 360 and ported to the PC, thats how practically all cross platform PC games are made these days, you're delusional if you think otherwise.
And yes, PC games cost less, but not by up to half, never up to a half in this day and age excluding the Steam Summer Sale.
Ok, you're playing on PC. We get it, have fun.

Seriously, passive aggressive gets annoying pretty quickly. We hear ya "subtle" points, ("just saying", "not bagging out either", yeah right, read your other posts too). Lying about doing something (i.e not bagging out any one of the two, yes "any one" is two words, "anyone" is in reference to a person) doesn't mean you aren't doing it, it just means you think the people you are talking to are idiots & you can fool them, real nice. Oh & yeah its $59 online for Xbox too (just saying!) but I haven't seen it online for $29.50 for PC................. Soooooooo.....

Really? What the!
For me its really enjoyable, its better in every way than 2011. Was frustrating at 1st though trying to get used to the new feel of the game...... Seriously trust me on this, give it about an hour tuning on one of your favourite tracks & as soon as you get the setup heading the way you want it will start to feel soooooo much better. just a matter of practice until the new feel becomes normal, like with new Forza's etc.... Probably didn't help that you guys spent the night before last playing a fair bit of F1 2011 & getting all used to the feel of that again.
Will be on later today at some point, jump in peeps if you see me on. Yeah Puttz that means you!

I think when I wrote that I was just a bit pissed off that in career FP1 and FP2 have been axed out of the game. I still don't get why they've done that
It's a bit like buying a FIFA game and only being able to play the second half of the game.

Yeah that did make me wonder too, I guess just alot of people saying, "why have 3 practice sessions when I only use one to set the car up?", but 3 would have still been nice for the "feel" of a race weekend, considering how much they go on about the "feel" for this new game. Still loving it though.

Re: Formula 1 2012
I am struggling with the braking in these cars. It may have something to do with the Coop Series Clarko and I did Wednesday night. We were on a mission... complete the entire 19 rounds in one night. I used all assists available to me including auto box. So I may have been spoilt.
Trying to run this game F1 2012 using expert settings, including cockpit view. I will keep playing, maybe in a few months I will venture online with it. At least it will give me stuff to do while I wait for Forza Horizon.

Had another go this afternoon... I don't think I am going to enjoy it as much without using TCS ABS etc. So I think I will just play the game as I like and enjoy it. If it means I can not go online and race with you guys then so be it, just need to enjoy it at a level my skills permit.

Re: Formula 1 2012
Yeah the new feel of the steering/handling is pretty pointy but by making the car softer (for aus gp anyways) it felt a sh#tload better. Now i just need to get a new mic as my 18 month old gremlin decided to sprout a few more teeth on my old one at some stage yesterday. I could hear you guys perfectly last night but you couldnt hear me. Maybe i can find a hands free kit or something around the house until then but as soon as i get one i will be in for some racing

After watching Singapore last night then racing the track, i'm pretty sure that either the tracks aren't 100% accurate or the physics is just....standard, run of the mill, nothing special.
Like going through the tight chicane, you can practically flat run it straight through in third compared to second that the drivers were doing in the actual race.

Re: Formula 1 2012
The tracks are definitely not 100%. Let's compare Hockenhiem, We know T10 laser scaned it but comparing it to F1 2012 they are totaly different tracks same with all of the other tracks that are in both Forza and F1 2012.
The thing with Codemasters is that they water their games down so much, they make it so every other 2 year old can play it which sucks
But in saying that it's still a fun game to play, but then again I might be a 2yo
