Has Hess got any prices for just the Elite wheel?

Has anybody heard anything about different rims for the Elite? I know I've seen a vid with Thomas talking about the possibility of replacement rims, and I don't know why but I don't really like the look of either CSR rims.

Not to put you off or anything Crimson - but from what I understand (and I may be wrong) the CSR shifters are quite similar to the standard shifters. With a little bit of luck - and some refocusing after the development of the CSR products Fanatec should be releasing their clubsport shifters this year.. (or so I am hoping...)

Nope. They are made of metal. Heavyer. Require a lot more force to get into gear. Besides, who knows when these clubsports are going to be available with the ebrake. Also, I doubt I could get them past the boss anyway. $120 is stretching it. $300+ is just not going to happen lol.

It's just great pity we have to pay such a high premium for being an Aussie!
Considering the exchange rate with the US, shipping don't cost that much.

$600 US = $1200 Aust approx, but that's the way it is take it or import it from OS without warranty

I think what was getting subtly mentioned is in america you can buy elite wheel package for $600($595 aus) but in OZ its more like $1200 we have to pay to get it here.

Guess if you want it you will pay for it. And must admit wouldn mind one myself. Who knows maybe the CSR Package if I can get some extra coin together. Cool

Cost of the wheel only is 549 in the us. If you want the whole crs package with pedals amd shifters I'm sure it would be 800 to 900 for the same package. Then figure in import charges. Btw i just ordered the new shifter.

Cool, let us know what they are like.

Does that mean you will have a spare set of shifters? I am looking at modding a set, but not real keen on stuffing up my only set of shifters.

Sorry should have been clearer, but your right sleuth. A quick check and they are available in the US for $600aust but over here we are expected to pay $1200aust.

I based my comment from this review at gtplanet, where total package for the elete wheel was 699, wasn't trying to indicate that pagnian was ripping people of but a lot of gear in Oz is priced with a huge premium .

Never realised that these wheels have an option to use the clutch function on the paddle shifters and shifters with out using the clutch pedal, which means no pushing of foot on clutch pedal or using a button as a clutch as everytime you change gears via shifter or paddle shifters it automatically enagages the clutch for you, neat trick that one.

I know its an option on the csr Elite wheel and presumably the csr wheel? As for the other released fanatec wheels Im not sure, maybe but I dont own one so do they?

Well its definitely not available on my Turbo. To an extent its slightly fair since the clutch is slower. Would also make driving the V8's more authentic without a significant disadvantage.
