IGP Manager League
Aussie F1 League: starting 19/03/12 8pm EST.
Looking to see if there would be any members interested in taking part in an IPG Manager League.
What is IGP Manager?
It came out about 3 weeks ago and is a Browser based F1 manager game.
The basic version is completely free, or for a subscription you can also have a 2d representation of the race, where you can also give orders whilst the race is in progress.
You Manager your team, contract drivers, staff, conduct R&D, merchandising, find sponsors etc.
Organise your race set up through 5 practice sessions anytime prior to the race.
Was looking at running races on Mon and Thurs nights, 9:30pm AEST.
NB: you do not even have to be present at the race time, you team will race in the event regardless based on the setup, pit strategy you have saved, or if you did not save a setup/pit strategy will use the default set-up, suggested by the engineer you hired.
I have joined a league today (you can only be active in one league at a time), but will look at creating a second account, as would be good to get an all Aussie league going with everyone starting at the exact same level and progressing through a few seasons. I only intend using the free version at this time.
Leave your name below if interested, and if numbers make it look like a goer I will set up a password protected league for us to compete in.

Re: IGP Manager League
The league I was running in the bloke has decided to fold, 6 races early, with no notification.
Have therefore just created my own league.
Aussie F1, it will run Mon and Wed nights 8pm EST, starting the 19/03/12.
As per my first post, this is a free web browser F1 Manager game. You set your race strategy, contract staff, different suppliers, train your staff and driver.
Once you have your team set up, it really does only take 5 min every day or two for car design development, and once your strategy is set for the coming race, you do not even have to be present, it will automatically run your race for you.
If you wish to subscribe there are additional benefits like a 2d race map and giving orders on the fly eg: tyres, fuel, telling your driver to slow up or push on etc.
Would like to get as close to a full field as possible, so if anyone is interested, sign up and join the Aussie F1 League.

Re: IGP Manager League
Welcome Scorpiion.
I see you have already assembled your staff, you will find it quite addictive doing R&D, deciding how much to put into this season how much for next season etc.
HINT: after the first 3 or so races once you have upgraded some facilities, try spying on other teams to clone some R&D areas of your car eg: front wing, to get a bigger gain.

Re: IGP Manager League
Welcome Demon, only 12 days to go until the Australian Grand Prix.
You probably noticed from the set up screen, once you have completed the 1st Season, the next season you can load the previous seasons set ups. Though obviously weather conditions will be different so you will still need to make some adjustments.

Fez, Whacked, Tastyyx, and Mr Whincup, welcome.
Another tip, if you don't want to log in every couple of days to choose your own, parts for development, you can set it to auto.

Re: IGP Manager League
So who is going to win the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday?
But more importantly, how is everyone going to perform on the Monday for the IGP Manager Australian Grand Prix.
Hope you have all set your pitstop and tyre strategies.
FINAL HINT: try and run your test runs under similar conditions to what race day will be, and all settings become locked 30 min before the race.

Re: IGP Manager League
It says something about teams being able to run 2 cars? Is this setup in our league and if not do people want the choice to run 2 cars?

Hey Scorpiion,
You have to subscribe to the 2d Pack to be able to run a 2 car team (and every one would have to do so), hence why I set the league up for only 1 car. The Free version only allows a 1 car team and 50% race length maximum.

Re: IGP Manager League
Welcome SempeR and Baba.
Remember everyone, your managing your teams over multiple seasons, your bank roll doesn't reset each season, and you need to balance your R & D throughout the season between developing for the here and now or developing for the next season.
Under your R & D check the column to see what your parts development percentage for the start of next season will be throughout the season as that is what you will be looking at starting the next season with.

Re: IGP Manager League
I did some research and I found the following about 2 car leagues:
* A paying member has to create the 2 car league, however non paying members can still join and run 1 car :-)
* You cannot change from a 1 to 2 car league, or vice versa, mid season.
More found here
Obviously this season is already underway, and you cant multi-league, so after this season if everyone is keen, I as a paying member would be willing to start a league with a optional 2 car system. Or Arckon is he wants to upgrade and change Aussie F1 to a 2 car setup.
That way if you want to pay for the 2D pack and run 2 cars then you can, or you can stay as a free member and run one.
Best of all if you change leagues, you keep your team at all times, development and all :-)
