Results of the 3rd OZFM Off-street Drag's and Burnout Comp!!

3rd OZFM Off-Street Drag race & Burnout comp results from the 5th September

Well it was our 3rd OZFM Off-Street Drag race and the first time in its new time slot last night @ 7pm (well sort of - it started a little later but all good )
We had a few new faces ready to run in their 1st OZFM Drag meet.

Here are the entrants-

Wiggaphil - 2005 Vauxhall Monaro - 10.883 Dial in

Here are the results of our 3rd race. We will start the season shortly once we have a few more people, for now we will just run a few more practices.

So after 5 passes Me and Agro were deadlocked @ a time difference of .034
We run again for a 1 run elimination.
Agro runs a 10.684 (+.068) and i run a 9.760 (+.067) winning by just 1/1000th.

Both drivers in their 1st race and settling into the format. schuey had trouble with setting his dial in which showed with a double break-out, one of which was in a big way.
OVERSTEER fresh from his drag class with me had a new and improved GTO which proved to be quite consistant with OVERSTEER running just .017 off his dial in earning him a bye into the final.

wiggaphil was given a Bye into the 2nd round.

wiggaphil in his 1st ever drag tourney and also fresh from my Drag class earlier with a newly tuned Monaro we worked on in class. wiggaphil also getting used to his car and dial in broke out a couple of times but ran a close time to his dial in early with the pressure on for me to try and beat him running my new 98 Top secret supra. It came down to the last run and both me and phil launched hard to run just .003 from eachother. Awesome race phil. Good win dude.

TNT OVERSTEER recieved a bye into the final by running closest to his dial in in the 1st round.

Its the final race and both of the guys have done an awesome job getting here being their 1st event.
OVERSTEER showed good consistancy early running the 1st 3 passes within .100 of his dial in but wiggaphil again saves his best run till last running another .014 off his dial in after breaking out 3 of the 4 runs before with OVERSTEER looking certain to win.

We also held our 2nd Burnout Comp

We had a winner for most % of tyre wear in a 5 minute period and also a winner for best burnout style (we dont want people just sitting in one spot doing a line locker)

here are the results for tyre wear-

1st - xPPRTxAGROV8x - 70 Nissan Datsun - 100% after 2 minutes 54 seconds
2nd - xPPRTxPACMANx - 94 Mazda MX-5 Miata - 100% after 4 minutes 31 seconds
3rd - Schuey007 - 69 Chevrolet Camaro - 70.9% wear
4th - TNT OVERSTEER - 68 Chrysler Barracuda - 40% wear

AGRO would now like to be called Burnout King from this day forth im thinking putting a bit of time into tuning a few cars. If any one would like help with tuning for this go see Agro he will be happy to help.

Now thats some more realistic times for the burnouts

yeah dude. Agro is a machine though. he fries those tyre's like its noone's business.

this is with the games settings changed but i can give it a go how do u run the room just normal settings put me down for next time

I haven’t actually done a burnout with the -75% rear grip yet but agro has. I think his best was like 1 minute 10 seconds @ 3000+ kmh. We just use a standard lobby with simulation damage so it lasts longer and so its more about style as well.

Yeah I tried the -75% and yesterday I fried in 1:02, I wouldnt mind running it on -75% but it is too hard to go for style points when you cant control the car. Maybe if someone wants to try 1v1 on a certain traction handicap I will get to try it out haha.

It was beginner luck.. Good fun though.. Lovin drag.

C'mon guys/girls whatever u are. keep your talk about that type of Drag to the work place.

Ok for starters, you could never, ever in a million years look like me. I'm awesome, I represent all that is awesomeness and you don't. Sorry but you don't even come in close.

I wish I could pull it as hard as you, hmmmmmmm. Well I'm guessing most guys pull it at about the same pressure. So if your being a little over eager in the pulling department, this may explain why you limp alot. Ease up on it or it wall fall off.

As for your heels, again. I have big manly sized feet and your tiny little girls feet don't even compare. I'd love to borrow your sparkly shoes but I just couldn't fit into them.

Oh and lastly and this is a BIG one, watch what you say or I will be making a list of all the worst jobs at work for you to do and I'll call it training.
