Nah, the pre-order cost won't matter. Unless you paid for it outright at pre-order time (a bad idea imo) and even if you did, you could ask them to price match when you go to pick your copy up.

Just do a price check with the other retailers like Game and JB before you go in to pick up your copy at EB. Ask EB what they're charging and if its dearer tell them the competitor prices. They have to price match or sales will walk out the door.

shouldn't matter......EB policy is if the customers don't ask...scam them

I wait till the day I pick the game up before paying it off. Just check out the other stores before you pick it up and they will price match...if you ask

Like Danno said ^ too, I'll be paying out my pre-order the day I pick up the game, that way I keep my bargaining power.

Have never done a trade-in deal like that, but reckon they should still price match regardless how you paid your pre-order deposit.

If they don't want to price match just because you traded some games I'd be telling them its a rip off. You could call their bluff and tell them you'll shop elsewhere next time.

Wouldn't lose any sleep over it at this stage. Just hit em up on the day, and play it as it comes.

I will try then and if i can bonus. if not oh well 135 for the best racing sim ever is still going to be worth it.

Spoke with the local EB......doesn't matter how you paid for pre-order they will price match.....so all sweet PACMAN.......just remember to ask

Far as I know EB price matching is to other local retail outlets that have stock on the shelf.

If they're in doubt they'll sometimes ring other shops and check stock/price.
Something like FM4 they'll learn pretty quickly who's selling for what and all you have to do is mention the lowest priced shop.

A quick scan of JB and Game, maybe Big W and Target, will usually get you right on what price to quote.

I may be the last person on OZFM to order Forza 4, but I went with www.ozgameshop.com

The standard edition (so don't know if there are any bonus cars) is $58, which is the cheapest I've seen.
There is a catch though, it ships from the UK (where they are based) - which is free, but may mean you won't have it on the launch day. They reckon they could despatch it a bit earlier so it arrives here on the day - but they won't guarantee it.

I buy pretty much all my stuff from these guys as it's uber cheap, and I don't mind waiting. I've never had a problem and it's nice to have something in the letterbox besides bills!

I sent off the email and all...but nothing from T10 yet....

edit: And now upon reading the fine print, is the car given only when FM4 is released?

Was referring to the art cars, the M5 and the dashboard theme

Though i would have liked the 1M...but Game are expensive as Frig

Did you leave a message on twitter or facebook, also in the fine print. I along with many others have recieved the RX7 in FM3.

Did JB change their price? If i pre-ordered before the price drop, do i still pay the full $114 or the new $99? Also comp to go to E3 2012 if ordered at JB.

To those few that pre-ordered at Mightyape, have you ordered stuff from them before? I ordered MS Points from them this week; they were despatched Tuesday and still have not arrived. If I don't get Forza 4 on or before the release date I will die!! I sent their CS a message this morning re forza 4 shipping date but surprise surprise no reply! I know Mightyape originate from NZ, but wonder whether they stock stuff locally??

Just talking to the guy at Game, and they have FM4 in stock but not allowed to sell it... So as soon as some other store breaks the embargo, then they can sell it.

Apperantly T10 has some coding in there that as soon as the game is put in the drive it sends a message to them to say the embargo has been broken.

I noticed Agrov8 was hoping to get it early, so please mate as soon as you get it, play it online. Then we can all get it early. Mind you the shop that sells it early will cop a $100,000.00 fine.

Well when I placed my order with MA it actually had a estimated ship date of 7/10 ... well, the 7/10 has just about come and gone and it ain't shipped so who knows! They were by far the cheapest a few weeks ago, but now all the major guys have dropped their prices. If they don't ship it Monday I'm cancelling for sure and going with JB or GAME.
