Thought i would start up a thread with probs, issues or things you arent sure how to do in forza 4..

First up im wondeirng if anyone knows if the AI diffculty can be changed in forza ?? As i cant seem to find any settings to change this.. if i recall in the demo u could selct easy, med and hard opponents ??

im finding the AI for the first few driver levels is rubish.. they brake and slow down to much into corners..

As Paul mentioned,

To adjust AI difficulty go into Event List, Go to Assists/Difficulty and adjust the AI from there.

Tho trust me they get harder in career play try picking A or S class as your race event. I think the AI are supposed to be easy at the start and then get harder the more you race, does seem that way.

I am not sure but, this is what I found last night regarding the AI's.

I have been racing in the career mode up until about rank 10 - 11. I found the AIs to be somewhat easy, then once I got in to the A class and rank 12 or so, they are becoming more difficult to beat. I think it has something to do with how far you are through the career as to how hard the AIs are. I have seen posts from people that say they are rank 20+ and the AIs are easy, but when asked how far they are through the career they alomost always answer... naa been playing ostly online and got my ranking there.

So when you rank up online the AIs stay the same, when you rank up through career they gat harder.

Like I said, I am not sure, that is just my opinion.

Top Gear Bowling Pins

WORST IDEA EVER!!!

For anyone else struggling tho, the trick is to go in a FWD B class car and leave it in first gear!!! Simply grab the handbrake and get the rear end out to clean up as many cones as you can, just leave the car in first and your foot flat on the gas.

You need to be doing 50kph+ for you to get points for hitting pins, if you go too slow they don't count as hits. Also, you can't turn around and go back, the pins don't count towards your points.

This drove me nuts last night so hopefully someone can be helped from my half hour of anger and frustration trying to pass 1 top gear challenge.

I was wondering, in normal races, can you change the lap times to drift score like in FM3?

Thanks for the info guys.. i did go into the events page but didnt have a look at the difficulty settings.. if the AI get harder as u progress in your career then i will just leave it as it is for now.. thanks fellas for the info Wink

Just a heads up if anyone is thinking of buying cars with car coin credits..

if u are thinking of Selling , Auctioning or gifting the car.. then dont buy with these coins as the car is locked.. only option i found u have with thee cars.. is sharing the car with your club.. or just selling it for a big fat 0 ingame credits..

hence the reason i put the lambo and the testarosa in the club garage.. cause my idea of maken some quick money selling it in auctions back fired..

Hey guys I'm only new here, how would I go about being a member of the car club in game of FM4? For me the game is more of a social aspect as far as online but offline I love racing mostly against the clock so the idea of having a lot of people to challenge through the "Rival" portal of the game would be great.

Seems like so much more to do in this version of Forza best yet IMO. Just things like the autovista challenges are simple but at least they give you something to do.

I bought a McLaren F1 GT on the auction house, thinking I was smart, seeing it's in-game price of 4,000,000 credits, and then when I won the auction for 250k credits, I found I could only sell it for 2k credits... Not sure how this made sense, but maybe it was a gift car? Wouldn't have thought the game would offer one worth 4,000,000 credits to buy in-game. It was straight back to the auction house for that.

it sounds like its like fm3, any car won via level up is not worth the std sale price when selling back to the game.
havent tried in fm4 but it sounds like its the same.

oh i cannot filter the leadrboard to see my bowling score?
it shows lap time and drift score but not the actual score?
any know how i can see this?

We need like a list of all the cars that you can unlock via driving level so that we don't all accidentally buy them beforehand.

Yes but its not as simple as hitting > on the D-pad you have to pause scroll down to HUD options and then scroll down to the very bottom and change the settings from Lap time to Drift Points.

Im Wondering if anyone has had a play around with painting the V8 Supercars.. Is it the same as FM3 where some cars u could paint the Front and rear visors and some u couldnt .. is it the same in FM$.. or have they made all the cars paintable .. ?? or is there still some u can and some u cant.. ??

I asked burnto22 about which cars he'll paint on. Since he's resident V8 supercar livery specialist.
He hasn't given final details yet but theres info relating to paintability here

Apparently all Fords lose there window decals when you re-paint them and the #33 Holden doesn'y have any paint glitches.

Is my game broken ? .....I bought the LCE but every time I go to buy a car that is DLC ( like one from the muscle car pack) it takes me to the marketplace to download the car pack again.

I don't understand why it's not letting me purchase any DLC cars

Should I delete all the car packs from my HDD and re-download to try again ?

Is anyone else having an issue ?

or am I just not doing it right (I get that a bit from the missus Suspect

)

danno ..

1. check dlc histry to see if u have put in the 3 codes for the LCE extras..

try go to the ingame markt place section and select most popular cars.. u should see all the muscle cars and all the LCE cars ( RUF etc ) when u select the car u should see purchased.. if no click it and download it.. it should be free.. and all the cars should have purchased..

If not the deleting your car packs and redownloading them might be a option..

could you see them previously and now there not avalible.. or wernt they never been avalible ??

I've got one folks. In regards to viewing left and right when racing. I know with the controller you can use the right stick to look left, right and behind but how does one do that with a wheel? The way I have my wheel setup, I can view behind but not left or right. There are a couple of unused buttons on the 911 wheel that would be perfect for a quick look to the sides but it doesn't appear you can set them as anything in the options. Can anyone here shed some light on this?

Unfortunately I don't think you can (hope I am wrong though), that's why I got turned off using my MS wheel so quickly in Forza. It does make for a good excuse if you are on a wheel though (i.e "sorry mate, I can't look & didn't see you!"), i've been on the recieving end of that one more than a few times hahaha!
