Well the 1st OZFM Wednesday off-street drags was a bit of a fizzer.
Id like to thank CDS Mini Spool and AGROV8 for showing up to run.
We still held the event and will carry on doing so every Wednesday night @ 7pm regardless of numbers.
I have started up a PPRT Drag racing school so if anyone out there is interested in Drag racing but not really sure how to tune for it and would like to learn how sign up and we will try and teach u.

Here are the results of the 1st race. We will start the season shortly once we have a few more people, for now we will just run practice.

1st round best of 5 races.

xPPRTxAGROV8x (10.700 dial-in A class 79 Camaro) vs CDS Mini Spool (10.750 dial-in All motor 02 Lexus SC430)
- 1st race and Agro comes out ready to race hitting his dial-in straight away with a 10.700 (+-.0) Mini runs a respectable 10.866 (+.116) but the pressure’s on now for mini to match Agro and hit his Dial-in
- 2nd race Agro fry’s the tyres up the strip to run 12.317 (+1.617) Mini hooks up hard and breaks out running a 10.733 (-.017)
- 3rd race and Agro gets another good launch hitting a 10.717 (+.017) Mini gets a good launch and runs a 10.783 (+.033)
- 4th race Agro spins up the tyre’s again and runs a 11.750 (+1.050) With Mini running a 10.850 (+.100)
- 5th and final race last chance for Mini to hit his dial-in and come back. Agro hooks up and runs a 10.733 (+.033) Mini doesn’t get the launch he wanted and falls short with a 10.817 (+.067)
*AGRO wins the 1st round and moves on to the final*

Final race

xPPRTxPACMANx (9.794 dial-in S class 70 Datsun) vs xPPRTxAGROV8x (10.700 dial-in A class 79 Camaro)
- 1st race and i fry the tyres to run a 10.260 (+.466) Agro hooks up like a mad man and breaks out straight up to hit a 10.684 (-.016)
- 2nd race and again i spin up to run 10.227 (+.433) Agro doesn’t quite hit his launch and runs a 10.886 (+.186)
- 3rd race and yet again i spin up and hit a slower 10.477 (+.683) Agro misses his launch again and runs a 10.947 (+.247)
- 4th race and finally i get a launch out of the little datsun to run a 9.876 (+.082) Agro also gets a better launch and runs a 10.734 (+.034)
- 5th race and i hit the throttle too early spinning out hard off the line and running a 11.011 (+1.317 Damnnn!) Agro gets a good launch running a 10.767 (+.067)
*AGRO takes out 1st place overall*

So Congrats to Agro for taking out the 1st OZFM Wednesday night Off-Street Drags event.

Was a good set we had there, some close finishes and pure luck is what got me through, cant wait til next week

That should be ok dude. depending on the amount of people running it should take around half and hour so that should leave u with enough time for ozfmdl. I might sign up to that for next season. I need to get some tandem practice in.

Hi PACMAN just a little friendly tip for the next series, that being not to put an new series on the same night & and just before another existing series/event, as i'm betting there are some people that would otherwise be keen to do both but just not on the same night as it may all become a bit too hectic for them Yo!

The only reason for the current time/date is the real off street drags are run on Wednesdays at 7pm, at WSID in Sydney.

Cheers reaper. im down for changing the day if you guys have a night that suits u better. from what i can see the only free night is Thursday night.

If u guys want to respond with what night might work best i can change it. the reason for the wednesday night drags was just to copy the off street drags at the creek but im cool to change the night.

it's more the time for me.....I have no chance of getting on at 7pm...that's family time....dinner/bathing/bed for the kids

HA...more like 9pm.....I only get on the box once the kids are in bed....and then it all depends on how much work I have on.

Seeing the weather is getting better I'll probably be at the beach all day and work at night.
I'm usually only on the box tuesdays and fridays also....the other nights I play with the missus

hey gowie. i have your supra all tuned up ready to run. i'll let u know how to launch it when i speak to u later. my best ET in it is a 10.160 but a consistant 10.277 should be possible.

looking forward to tonights race. Hopefully i can dial in HYPDUP and actually pull some good passes this week.

We should so have a 5 car burnout comp like WSID does!!!

Im cool with that. teeroy was telling us last night about how they used to do it. i think once the racing is over we will do a burnout comp.

I'll have a think about the rules but basically it will be based on who gets their tyre wear to 100percent 1st and style. (no sitting in 1 spot for longer than 5 seconds). i'll test it out when i get home i'll hit u up if your on and we'll go nuts on the burnout pad.

ok so the voting is over and we have a new time for the Off-Street Drags. It will now be held every Monday night from 7pm and will be followed directly after with a Burnout comp. (all details along with previous event recap ar on the OP)
