Re: Do you own a Fanatec Wheel?
Thanks to the threads about the PWTS wheel cheap at JB I picked one up on Sunday. I'll be setting it up and having a few laps tomorrow.

I'm curious is it possible you can get GT2 style paddles for the Turbo? Been looking at the GT3 RS image slide

Yeah.... I'm thinking same.
I have a CSR Wheel coming soon (not Elite sadly, not available yet) with CRS Elite Pedals and Shifters.
But JB doing Porchse wheels at $499 incl Clubbie pedals and shifters is crazy cheap. Trying to tempt myself in to that for cruising.... or performance street cars as opposed to race cars.

Re: Do you own a Fanatec Wheel?
Finally received my CSR Wheel and CSR Elite pedals and shifters. Will hook them up tonight and see how it goes. Hopefully take some video as well.
I only have a Hyperdrive simulator but it's better than nothing. My next project is to probably grab a Next Level rig or such.
I am really pushing the bounds of relationship with the fiance though!

Re: Do you own a Fanatec Wheel?
Can anyone tell me, where i could find some fanatec wheels available in australia for a descent price? I really dont want to have to buy a thrustmaster 458...

Re: Do you own a Fanatec Wheel?
Call JB HiFi. They recently had a promotion to get a Porsche wheel for $499 with all the trimmings. About 200 under market value.
If you're lucky, you might still be able to get one of those!

Re: Do you own a Fanatec Wheel?
The spacing between the pedals on the CSR is much better than on the CSP's

I see you are from Brissy... I was in JB HiFi at Strathpine the other day and they have a couple sitting on the floor there. They were the Turbo S ones, but I think the guys using them are happy with em.

haha..... yeah that's the sub-par couch in the rumpus, pattern does wonders to hide any marks and spills! Obviously my steering wheel was relegated to the rumpus immediately with no ticket to set forth in the lounge!!
I'll be sure to let you know some first impressions once I get it up and running. It arrived yesterday and the other half has a late shift tonight so won't be home till about 10.30pm which suits just nicely. Might put in a lap or two around Monaco tonight!
Thankfully the power supply is 100/240w so I just need to put it through the travel converter.

Click on the word "Competition". It's a link.
Or, just go here:

Take a look around the site - there's plenty going on.

Re: Do you own a Fanatec Wheel?
can anyone tell me if the power supply can just use an adapter or needs a seperate PSU to handle 240V? If I can just swap the plug I'm happy

Re: Do you own a Fanatec Wheel?
Yeah power supply was no problems last night. Had a decent run around Maple Valley and wow!
Was my first experience with a 6 shifter on any games console (excepting arcade) and I was kinda put back with its awesomeness! Going from a MS Wireless Racing Wheel to a Fanatec CSR is a decent jump forward. Kinda kicking myself I didn't do it before now with a Porsche wheel.
If anyone is keen to get their hands on a CSR, it took me 3 weeks from time of order to time of delivery and cost me $700 incl Elite pedals and shifters. With respect to sponsors I won't post details here but you can PM me.
OctarineDream, definitely going to give the competition a run this weekend once I've done a few laps and find some rhythm.
