RUF Cup
This championship has OZFM, VMotorsport and Slipstream Racing joining forces to help fill the grid with enthusiastic Project Cars racers
Car: RUF RGT-8 GT3
Start date: 31st January 2016
Sunday nights from 7pm AEDST
6 Rounds.
Entrant List
Please advise which car number you will be running with for the RUF series.
Points System
Familiarise yourself with the requirements of OZFM Code of Conduct which is very similar to VMotorsport OZFM Drivers Code of Conduct
DNF's will be awarded points based on lap number they DNF or drop out at i.e. 10 racers, 8 finish the race awarded points for positions 1-8, 2 DNF's, one drops out at lap 12/20, awarded points for position 9, other drops out at lap 5/20, awarded points for position 10.
No shows will be awarded first points place after last place or last DNF points. If more than one no show, will be awarded equal position points.
Races may be recorded and uploaded to youtube. Steel Jockey may do a joint race edit from his recordings and include some of your video if you record and upload highlights of in-car footage.
Race Night Format
Practice 1: 45 minutes, join party and game at your leisure/available time.
Practice 2: 15 minutes to sort out qualifying order
Qualifying: 20 minutes. 1 lap shoot out
Race Warm Up: 5 minutes
Race: 45 minutes - 1 hour
Second practice session will be to sort out qualifying order.
Qualifying will be a 1 lap shootout.
Slowest driver from the second practice session will go first, quickest driver last.
One warm up lap and then a hot lap.
First car (slowest from practice session 2) to be ready to leave the pits as soon as qualifying begins.
Cars will be released onto the track at each 1 minute mark. Please enter the track ASAP trying not to disadvantage the car coming behind you on their qualifying hot lap. Be aware while warming up that a car could be coming through on their hot lap, move off the racing line and wait for them to pass.
As soon as you finish your qualifying hot lap, move off the track and quit back to the pits.
Race time: 12:00pm
Time accelerated: x 5
Time of year: Local late spring. Weather will vary between fine to cloudy. Light rain will feature during one of the races.
Fuel tank limit: 60 Litres
Tyre wear rate: x 3
Pitstops: Mandatory
Real Life Assists: On
Fuel tank will be limited to 60 litres for the whole series. Please set this into your car setup and pit strategy. You may start with up to 60 litres, no more and refill back up to 60 litres in your pit strategy, no more. You may use less if you wish.

Project CARS, go to your garage, select car, choose GT class, under manufactures pick RUF, then go down 1 to the RGT-8 GT3 and scroll left or right to see the different designs that will then give you the race number and team that car is.

Once we go racing, in the multiplayer lobby, to get to your garage, pick the car window, second from left beside the track selection, press Y to enter your garage, go to select car and follow same process above to select your car number.

Possibly keen on this. Actually, not possibly, just been out of it for a while but have just got myself a wheel and a playseat so have a bit of a learning curve to get over (always been a control(ler) freak). Plus not sure how the times will sit with my shifts. What do you think the latest join time would be on the night? Don't want to stuff anyone around.

Practice session 1 will start at 7 PM AEDT this session is really set up for members who don't have time to test before each round.
End of final Qualifying will be around 8:25 PM AEDT, so you would need to be in by 8:20PM AEST as sessions start automatically when the previous session ends.

Small problem Sly, just had a request for the last spot yesterday from another bloke. Need to confirm if he is in or not.
However, not everyone might make every week, so could be room if you want to be on standby. Not sure how Woody wants to go on this. It's possible you could get a run every week anyway.
And the first race will not be until Sunday week, last one of January.
Either way, did you want to pick a number just in case?
