I hope the rear view mirrors work better in the release version.

I just grabbed this from the video. P9 on the grid and no one behind them. hmmm

Apparently the will be a demo released on the 10th.

Although I didn't play the last one very much at all, I'll be grabbing this. I was in EB today and the release date was the 20th of this month.

Unfortunately my days of F1 gaming are over. Too fast, too twitchy. Game looks good though. Love the tracks and would love to race the V8's on them all. Hell, I'll try any track with a V8 almost.

When you say too twitchy, I am guessing you are refering to F1 2010. They fixed a lot of that in F1 2011 and one would assume it will be even better in F1 2012. I think you should try the demo that comes out in the next day or 2, I know I will be even though I have preordered F1 2012.

For me I enjoyed F1 2010, loved F1 2011 and never even questioned getting F1 2012.

Pros about the demo:
Handling physics are WELL improved. Quite twitchy and lock-ups and spins are more common = more realistic to real life, which is awesome.
AI is improved
Graphics are better
Even though the demo is quite short, I'm liking the greater diversity in events and things to do i.e young driver test, season challenge, career, champions mode etc.
Engine notes sounds awesome

Cons:
Car twitchiness can take some time to get used to
Not as user-friendly, can be hard to learn where to brake and how hard

You'll notice the cons are less game-oriented and skill-based. That's because I haven't found any game faults or anything bad to do with the game in the demo it is that damn good, I'm so excited for the full game now

I don't know where you lads are buying this from but I've just noticed ozgameshop.com have it for $50 delivered. LINK HERE. My first port of call is Play Asia but for the first time ozgameshop have pipped them.

I've just organised to DL this. Does it normally offer any tuning on the cars or they're all set up and you're just driving them? Also, any word on how many online? I noticed the last one had 12.

$50 for a brand new release is great value but I always get worried when they do that. Thanks for the Link, Goomf.

I'm hoping to give the demo a crack tonight

I gave the demo a crack and unfortunately not for me. Have to be way too precise and in a split second as well for passing and corners. I chucked it on EASY and still struggled. Just don't have the reflexes. It certainly looks the goods though if it's your bag.

It fely very much like the old one to me and will give the demo a bit more of a go before I decide. I really enjoyed the 2010 version because we had a comp running over at Mojo and I got right into it.

The graphics on PC version is awsome for a demo, am really looking forward to this game, for me it's a must have. Much improved again from there last release I think, top stuff CM.

I downloaded the PC version, and call me stupid but I could not see any difference to the Xbox. If anything I would have to say the Xbox at less then $300.00 was better then my $2000.00 laptop, both using HDMI to the TV.

I even went for a walk around the shopping centre trying to grab a copy today... Lol. Not even BigW was going to let it go early. I think they recognised me.

Biggest differances between the two, are price for the game, as always pc versions are cheaper by normally up to half an xbox game, (means you can buy two games at times for the price of one) and the frame rates, 80 FPS for pc vs 30 FPS for xbox. Plus the ability to mod the pc version games, and more peripherals available to a pc user in steering wheel options and controllers(can be cheaper with more options), 3+ screen tv's on one computer not 3 xboxs to do the same(hope they fix that in next gen consoles) , ahh the list goes on and on BUT the xbox is easy just plug and play and then there is your friends and community involved with Xbox but in saying that there also is a very large community on pc to.. So hard call which one to get but either way Im getting it and look forward to it tho would of liked to race against and with some peeps here on the xbox as that was always fun while some others not so much.

So when you buy the xbox at what you paid, plus add the cost of steering wheel(fanatec for anything decent) and then add how many xbox's you have and then add the cost of the games and any extra's, it soon become's apparent that the xbox does cost alot, and given you can build yourself a pc that allows for future upgrades for less than $1000(not all at once just buy the pc parts needed as you can afford to) that can do everything and play any latest game with ease while outperforming gaming consoles including making any other pc's you may have redundant so you need to take that cost of your pc/laptop that is no longer needed into it, what was it you wanted us to call you.. just saying...Tho in all that I still like my xbox and enjoy using and will continue to even if it's just for the ease of it and the social structure that goes with it, and it has Forza...

Umm, all I am saying is, I could not see any difference in the graphic between the xbox and PC versions of F1 2012 Demo. Using the same TV, connected the same way, same wheel, same set of eyes.

I was concidering buying the PC version as my brother has a PC and used PC version of F1 2011. Still I could just get both. Never once did I concider not getting the xbox version though. Looking forward to racing with the same guys I raced (followed) in F1 2011.
