1970's Japanese Sport Coupe Championship or the 'Tin Top Turbos'


Welcome to the 1970's Japanese Sport Coupe Championship

Tuesday Nights Lobby Open at 19:30ish, Racing Starts at 20:00 AEST

These Little cars were built for fun... and to make them even more so,
We've gone and slapped a whopping great Turbo onto every one of them.

This series should be great for all driver levels. The cars aren't too quick, but still have enough "berries"
to get you into trouble if you're not careful.

The cars are extremely tunable for those who like to play, and for those less experienced tuners... builds will
be available for download for all eligible cars.

The Cars:
1970 Datsun 510
1973 Mazda RX-3
1973 Nissan Skyline GT-R
1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R
1974 Toyota Celica GT
1974 Toyota Corolla SR5

The Upgrades:
PI - 495
Handling/Suspension - All Race mandatory
Aspiration  - Turbo mandatory
Engine Upgrades - Race Turbo mandatory
Tyres -  Sport or Race tyres only
Aero -  Front and Rear Adjustable mandatory
Gearbox - Sport only (Ability to adjust final drive)

-Everything else is up to you, any other performance upgrades, Engine mods, tyre width etc.. whatever you desire.

The Livery:
Anything Retro will do the job, no single-coloured cars allowed, at least put some racing stripes on it Smile
Number Boards to be positioned on the Doors and Bonnet - To be downloaded from Jedeye Jones, Search 'OZFM Tin Tops'
No Tobacco Paint/Decals (In accordance with OZFM Guidelines)

The Race Format:
2 Races at approx 20 minute length with a single 40 minute Endurance event every second week.
Standing Starts with roll-off delays based on 'previous race' finishing positions.

Top 3 Drivers will be in group 1 - Longest Roll Off Delay
Bottom 3 Drivers will be in group 3 - No Roll Off Delay
Everyone in-between will be in group 2 - Minor Roll Off Delay

The Points:
1st = 36
2nd = 31
3rd = 27
4th = 24
5th = 22
6th = 20
7th = 18
8th = 16
9th = 14
10th = 12
11th = 10
12th = 8

A bonus 2 points will be given to the driver of the fastest 'clean' lap. If no clean laps are
obtained by any racers, no bonus points will be handed out.

Nurburgring GP + Sonoma Full - 25th October
Road America Full (Endurance)  - 1st November
Laguna Seca + Road Atlanta Short - 8th November
Brands Hatch Full (Endurance)  - 15th November
Lime Rock Full + Catalunya National - 22nd November
Bathurst (Endurance)  - 29th December
Watkins Glen Short Alt + Sebring Short  - 6th December
Nurburgring Nordschleife (Endurance) - 13th December
