PCARS - Formula Rookie - Series Info

This series will be run over 5 weeks with 1 qualifying/test round and 4 championship rounds.  Each event will be run fortnightly in between the WEC series

Weather
Fog, heavy fog, hazy, clear, light cloud, medium cloud, heavy cloud, overcast. May make an appearance during races, you will be notified a week ahead of any weather conditions you may need to be ready for.

Assists
All assists will be available for use.

Race Rules
The standard OZFM code of conduct and race rules will apply

Lobby Schedule
Lobby open 8:30

Race 1:
30 Minute Practice
10 Minute Qualifying Session
5 Minute warm up
6 lap race

Race 2: (Reverse grid of race 1 results)
5 Minute warm up
6 lap Race +1 formation lap

Race 3: (Combined scores of the first 2 races)
5 minute warmup
15 lap race +1 formation lap


Drivers MUST make 2 mandatory pit stops. 1 MUST be in either race 1 or 2 and another MUST be completed during race 3. For the pit stop to count you must be stationary and take on either fuel and/or tires.

In the event that there are more then 16 sign ups lobbies will be split evenly into 2 groups. The qualifying Round will determine which lobby you will be placed in. The bottom 3 drivers from lobby 1 will be demoted to lobby 2 and the top 3 drivers from lobby 2 will be promoted to lobby 1. We will only hold 2 lobbies with a maximum of 24 sign ups.


The 5 minute warm up is there for those who wish to have a quick break before the race, make last minute adjustments to their tune or set their pit stop strategy. There will, however, be a short break between races if needed.
