Re: FM5 V8 Supersedans *Idea*
Sweet! I bit the bullet and bought the car pack that it was in, put a quick build on it and it was already running a second faster than the others. So even with the extra 130 kilos it can still be very competitive. Could you please PM me your build Frozen!

Re: FM5 V8 Supersedans *Idea*
Thanks frozen! I built it up but I won't be able to give it a run until I get back from holiday. Now that the builds have come together what tracks, format and race night would people like?
I was thinking of running the series over 4 rounds, 2 sprint (2x12 lap races), 1 Enduro (25-30 lap race) and 1 super sprint (3x9 lap races)
For tracks I was thinking Yas Corkscrew (S), Long Beach Full (SS), Silverstone Full (S) and Bathurst (E)
What night would people want to race this? I can't host in Mondays or Thursdays due to work but any other day is fine!
Let me know what you guys think and if any one has any suggestions

Re: FM5 V8 Supersedans *Idea*
After some testing and thinking I'm not going to include the Merc, for this series anyway. I'd definitely look into including it in the future If a second series was to be ran. Frozen's build was pretty spot on, though the main reason I'm not going to include it is that it doesn't fit into the specs that I set in the original post and I'd like to keep it to the native RWD cars for the time being.
When it comes to format I'm pretty set on the Sprint, Super Sprint and Endurance Format. Some things I'd like to trial with this series. I'd like to run this on Tuesday nights after Dektra's Muscle Car Masters but thats up to the admins
Cars:
2012 BMW M5
2012 Chrysler SRT8
2012 Dodge Charger SRT8
2011 Holden HSV GTS
2009 Lexus ISF
Each car may be picked 4 times until it becomes locked.
Teams will be supported, teams do no need to be running the same paintjob but must run the same car. There will be a teams championship alongside a drivers championship.
Series format:
The series will be ran over 4 rounds and 7 weeks with 3 different formats; Sprint (2x 15 laps). Super Sprint (3x10 laps), Endurance (1x30 laps) Qualifying for the sprint and super sprint rounds will be ran a week before the the race. Qualifying for the endurance round will be ran on the night. Qualifying for the first round will also take the place of a qualifying round. Should there be enough signups for 2 rooms they will still be split into the faster guys in room 1 and slower guys in room 2 but there will be floating lobbies and final positions will be sorted by total time.
Qualifying format:
Sprint:
2x 15 minute sessions.
2x Top 5 shootout (1 out lap 1 hotlap)
Super Sprint:
3x10 minute sessions
Endurance:
1x 15 minute session
1x Top 5 shootout (1 out lap 1 hotlap)
Race Schedule
Round 1: Yas Marina Corkscrew (Sprint)
Round 2: Long Beach Full (Super Sprint)
Round 3 Silverstone GP (Sprint)
Round 4 Bathurst (Endurance)
Race Format.
Races will include 1 formation lap to set the grid, races will start when the timer hits 5 minutes. As there will be no reverse grid races there will be mandatory pit stops keep the racing close and allow the slower guys to compete. Sprint: 3 mandatory pit stops for the round, Super sprint: 1 pitstop for the round, Endurance: 1 stop. (if this idea isn't popular and will stop people from signing up I'll scrap the concept)
Rounds:
Round 1: Yas Marina Corkscrew (Sprint)
Round 2: Long Beach Full (Super Sprint)
Round 3: Silverstone Full (Sprint)
Round 4: Bathurst (Endurance)

I'm.all down for this. Like that you went with my idea about starting at one specific time and having the total time determine what place you come

Re: FM5 V8 Supersedans *Idea*
Some Issues with the builds has arisen. Mainly in regards to the BMW being quite a bit faster and tyre width. Issues are being looked at by myself and other members. If you want to contribute to the build of the cars please build the current builds up, test them and tell me how you go with them and any suggestions to make towards the builds.
Builds are not my strong point when it comes to Forza, which makes it a bit of a problem when you have so many ideas for series haha.

So as things stand right now the builds are proving to be pretty unworkable so I'll scrapping this idea. Keep posted for a replacement to this coming soon!

Re: FM5 V8 Supersedans *Idea*
I couldn't bring them into balance, the BMW was just so much faster then all the others and had so much more top end on the straights. dektra and I completely rebuilt the cars but we still couldn't bring them into balance, that and there was about 200kgs between the cars. It was a good idea in theory but in practice not so much. I may run it on another night later on during uni holidays. I've got some builds I did a while ago for another idea that it's much closer power and weight wise that I wanna run soon
