Fix your links brah, wanna see these full size.
That said, pretty Frig awesome to see how much they can get out of the lowly PS3.

It's amazing the graphics you can achieve when you have the same sounds for every car/whitegood

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Picture/Video thread.
Wow the chase actually has a kerb. Such real. Many disbelief.
I don't like how wide the track seems to be, unless the white line has been brought in from the wall rather than the walls pushed out.
Also, it looks like the kerb at McPhillamy on the left after the grate is more the correct height/size, compared to Forza's copy and paste nordschleife spec kerb.

GT is most likely more accurate, PD has always been more accurate with their tracks. For example the Nordschleife in FM is waaaaaaay wider in a number of sections than it has any right to be. The final turn at Suzuka too was incredibly wide compared to GT5 and F1 201X.
That said, it can also depend on the FOV any footage and image is set at.

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Picture/Video thread.
I'm putting my guesses down to the extra meter of tarmac after the white line in some places (in comparison to rl), most easily noticeable after the dipper through till after the elbow.
But, like I said, perhaps the white line hasn't been positioned correctly.
After visiting the circuit a number of times I can guarantee neither T10 or PD would be over 95% accurate at the very maximum.

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Picture/Video thread.
That's pretty spot on. The 2 main spots where the extra tarmac/width has been added is between turn 3 & 4 just before the cutting and like you said at the dipper. The rest of the track is pretty spot onsempeR wrote:I'm putting my guesses down to the extra meter of tarmac after the white line in some places (in comparison to rl), most easily noticeable after the dipper through till after the elbow.

So is GT6 worth getting even if you don't have a PS3? Should I invest? Getting a second hand one or slim is reasonable enough.
FM5 holds little entertainment for me till they sort out the whole Steering wheel debacle or lack there of...

I reckon ask STONEDKIWI as he has both, and isnt biased one way or the other yo. Id say based on what u have mentioned if u have a wheel for PS3 then its definately worth a look if the lack of wheel is affecting your forza enjoyment, but yeah KIWI is the man with all the answers yo.

I'm really enjoying GT6, I would recommend it.
Plus they are/will be doing regular updates and adding new content to the game

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Picture/Video thread.
its alright, 1st up you need a wheel. Its not fun to play very challenging and unforgiving but ill play it all day. Heaps of tracks and track editor coming soon Lots and lots of cars but most look like crap yet it doesn't bother me, good graphics dont make a good game. Id still play forza a lot more but it can be a good change of flavor now and thenJamieWhincup#1 wrote:+1Original Reapr wrote:SunCrossed wrote:JamieWhincup#1 wrote:I'm loving Bathurst on here

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Picture/Video thread.
Well, guess who got the game. Gonna make a new account to take advantage of my PS+ membership. ID is EnviousCipher.
edit: Oh whats that? The SLS GT3 is an arcade car? Mind if I go off into time trial and ignore the career mode entirely? Excellent....

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Picture/Video thread.
Thanks guys, I think I need another car game that uses the wheel so this looks like an option get a cheap PS3 and GT6 and off I go so happy to give it a burl. If PS4 had a decent racing game I'd go there, but feeling like something different to kill the time so I'll probably pick this up this week sometimes.

Hey clarko, in photomode set aspect ration to 16:9 and set magnification to 2x. They come out double the resolution at HD quality.
