With only 2 rounds to go with the Red v's Blue Challenge and the MX5 Cup I have been looking onto the next series for the Friday Night Racing.

OZFM GT
OZFM GT - Idea - Ozfm_g10

Some might remember this series from Forza 3. I was unable to race due to the weeknight race time but still managed to run a successful livery comp to go with it. With all the great high end cars in Forza 4 that I have been driving I wanted to give this series another run but on the night I can race. For this series there is no single build and no drag tyres but there is a few simple rules... And car choice? Over 50 to choose from!

Draft of the rules and regs

PI - max S700.
RWD Only (swaps to RWD are allowed).
Rims equal or lighter than stock (so no Dub's) or use stock.
Selected R class cars can be entered but must use all the required build. RWD swap will detune these cars.
S Class "race" cars can be entered (eg: MCGT4, T124, Diablo GTR, etc).
2 door cars with roof only.
FR, MR, RR allowed.
Fully adjustable aero a must.
Race tyres only (no sport or drag).
Roll Cage (if available).
No older that 15 years old (made after 1997).

Elegible Cars:
S class Race cars...
* (Lotus, Maserati, Lambo, etc)
Super cars - 2 door exotics...
* (Ferrari, Lambo, Audi, RUF, Merc, McLaren, Rossion, Nissan GTR, etc) A and S class (and selected R3)
Grand Tourers/Sports Cars - 2 door sport coupes...
* (Morgan, CTS-V Coupe, Vantage, SLS, M6, Vette, Viper, etc) A and S class (and selected R3)

Any configuration - FR, MR, RR. But all must be RWD. Drive swaps to RWD are allowed.
Must be closed top, has fixed roof or convertible hard top.
No fabric tops allowed (eg: 03 Viper).
No open tops allowed (eg: Shelby Series 1, Stirling Moss, 2-Eleven).
No Modern Muscle Cars (eg: Mustang, Camaro, Monaro).
No roadsters (eg: MX5).
No Salloons/Sedans, 4 door cars (eg: HSV, M5).

Looking into power handicaps for the faster drivers and winners similar to the weight penalties used in real life GT series. Will use Player Groups similar the Red vs Blue to get these to work.

This series will be open to all license holders.

3 x 15-20 minute races with possible qualifier ? (still under discussion)

Livery:
All cars will require a livery.
* An OZFM GT sticker will be supplied so it can be placed on both sides of the car. I will add it to my SF.
* Your race number should be on the car. Must be on both sides as a minimum. This number can be either on a number board of your choosing or displayed within the design.
* There is no major, minor or tyre sponsors that are required for this series so any sponsors will do (check the Usual livery rules below). I can add a Pagnian Imports sticker to my SF if you want to use it as a series sponsor.
* If you choose an artistic style design try and make sure that it has some sort of sponsor and number to be classed as a race car.
* Wide bodies, vents, carbon fibre, side exhausts, etc are allowed.
* Replicas are allowed.
* Non Painters: Feel free to have a paint made for you by another member. Team up and run a similar livery. Purchase some vinyl groups from the Storefront to make a race design.
* A full Storefront Design can be used but you must submit that design for approval. If the race number o n the design is different to yours that race number on the livery will be used for only this series.
* Usual livery rules...
... No tobacco (banned in Australian motor racing)
... Nothing explicit or offensive

This is a draft and may be altered prior to the start of this series.

As for timing we may start this after the Easter School holiday period. Before then (and after Red vs Blue) testing and random racing may fill the Friday spot unless another short series needs this time slot before we roll with this.

Haven't played much with the Zonda. Got it built, whacked on the tune that worked on most cars and gave it a test run. The RUF has done a few more laps though. Not a bad car considering it has a V8 sitting behind the rear wheels.

I have found the 11 Lamborghini Gallardo (R3 to start with but down to S with RWD), the 04 Ferrari F430, Q1 and the Viper SRT10 ACR (with huge stock wing) some of my faves right now. All seem to have some strengths and weaknesses with the required builds but should be pretty even when together on track.

Anyone else tried out the new Zagato? Looks awesome in full race trim including that rear diffuser. And if anyone takes out the Saleen Raptor enjoy the sound that thing makes!

I have the 2 logos in my SF if anyone is after them.

OZFM GT - Idea - 6829121780_2c17299f4e_z

Private test session in my 458 Italia.

Still a toss up over a number of cars I have running well but this one seems to be the flavour of the day. Had a run in some of the other cars with WARHAWK the other day and found the Lotus Evora an awesome drive as well.

I was asked about number boards the other day... We don't have any for this series. Feel free to make your own. Use the one above as an example or create something that fits with either the design/livery or the lines of the car. Check out the Australian GT photos for examples.

I have marked all the listed cars that are either Unicorns, VIP or DLC content.
