Can not wait to have another crack at Melbourne GP now I have brakes... maybe Forza will be better too now with full brake pressure. Tuesday night for that.
But as Sleuth said, jump on guys, this will be fun.

cant wait for tonight
also some breaking news
Redbull have a great setup and as sources tell me they dont need kers or drs to make quick lap times
also
Mercedes Gp have been out on the track and have tested numerous setups and seem to be right on the pace

Re: F1 2011 Series
Great run last night guys, I know team Mercedes got a bit lucky to take the win in the end after Sleuth's Ferrari got a flat with less than 10 laps to go but we showed a good turn of pace too, running strongly in the mix despite damaging the front wing twice & spinning whilst getting run off the road by an AI backmarker we were trying to lap! All in all a great learning experience for the team, whom is still learning how to get the most out of their car in different situations.
Plenty of rounds left to go, so who knows what can happen but we are off to a solid start for the season in both the drivers & the constructors championship.

Re: F1 2011 Series
By the third lap I'd spun once, been taken off by AI 3 times and had one brake-check me on the back straight. By lap 10 I had changed tires twice due to damage, and I had to get the nosecone fixed. So, I had one set of primes and a set of options to last me 48 laps. Would've ended up doing around 25 more and then have no tires left to use. Then an AI spun me on about lap 13 and that was just the final straw, sorry Sleuthy, hopefully I can improve at Malaysia next week.

Re: F1 2011 Series
All good mate, thats what makes this game more than interesting with simulation settings and stratergys with good vs bad luck to.
On last nights race was a solid start and good result for Ferrari with in strong competition, had a blast with the Mercedes of Reaper and stratergys going on and swapping of the race lead, was awsome to see best lap times flickering between a few drivers as the race unfolded making you push harder(fuel setting 3 go go go). A good learning experience and Ferrari is sure to adopt some different race and managment stratergys in the coming rounds...
Looked like there was several different race events unfolding for the field as the race progressed keeping it extemely interesting for everyone.
Not to late for others to jump on board with this series and get amongst the action. Next stop Malaysia...

Re: F1 2011 Series
redbull had a shocking start to the season
qualified second only to pull over to talk to a mate and started from the back of the field then on the opening lap got taken out by ai and had to replace the nose cone and be almost a lap down by lap 2 but strong lap times saw me push up to third then on my last pit rejoined in 7th and was hammering down on clarkson when i was about to overtake him a back marker decides to pull out on the side i was going and stuff my nose cone again and i finished in 5th running the fastest lap of the night
all in all very fun race cant wait till next race as my stratergy really worked well and the car will only get stronger

Re: F1 2011 Series
Great racing last night fellas. A 3rd place was a great result for me and my Mclaren after after a spin at the end of the first lap falling back to about 16th. I got lead of the race before my first stop only to spin at turn 15 after slight contact with the Sleuth Ferrari who was on fresh tyres. And if that wasn't enough, I crashed into my teammate who had a spin in front of me, damaging my front wing.
After all that I tried to settle into a rythm and hunt down the cars in front of me only to be hunted down myself buy Demon in the Red Bull.
With about 3 laps left under pressure from the Red Bull, we come up on a lapped car. I managed to get around it, but Demon tried to go though it damaging his front and having to pit for a replacement one.
That sealed my 3rd place after a tough but enjoyable night of racing.
I'm looking foreword to Sepang next week hoping I can improve my position in the championship.

Re: F1 2011 Series
On tonight, Sepang...
For those who are entered and those who havnt its still not to late to enter. Lotsa fun for all drivers and skill levels and is beeing run at 100% race distance with full simulation settings, apart from ABS.
So challenge your self and see if your got what it takes to become a F1 driver in the world of Xbox360 gaming.
Can you cut it and go beyond the realms of possibiltys or is your future still set in what you perceive to know with out change?

Re: F1 2011 Series
Oh yeah looking forward to tonight's round, are we going to get lucky or will the rain come down as it did in the R/L race last weekend? Either way it should make for an interesting race with consistency being just as good a currency in this series as outright speed...
So to all you F1 nuts whom either haven't grabbed the game yet or haven't jumped in for a run with us, get onboard & jump in for tonights race if you can make it!
I will most likely be having a few practice/muck around runs later this afternoon/early tonight if anyone sees me on just send me a message or jump in.

Full Details and photos here @ https://ozfm.darkbb.com/t3135-r2-malaysian-gp-results#62202.
But for those who may be interested in the series, and not yet signed up and cannot acces all of the F1 series threads, here is a summary of last nights racing, *disclaimer applies*
Was some very good drives from last night, noticably Dukey coming from 15th to finish 4th top effort, Reaper who's stratergy was spot on with qualifying on primes and managing his heavy fuel load proved the difference early on and a great drive coming from 4th to finish 1st.
Demon who looked to stuggle early on with the fuel load and once it burned of a little started putting down consistent laps and held position from 3rd on the grid to finish 3rd while making it challenging in the redbull car for ovetaking moves and fighting for position.
Both the ferraris showed excellent early pace for a few laps but with the option tyres at the start and heavy fuel loads soon chewed through there tyres and both cars ended up making 3 pit stops, Zabbey showed he has the pace and can see him pushing for podiums through out the season, I was happy with finishing 2nd after qualifying in P1 but also think there is more time to be had and more consistency to be made if Im going to get the first win for the ferrari, some techinical issues with the ferraris wheel(Broken downshift paddle on MS wheel) needs to be sorted but there budjet is not allowing for it at this stage, and the teams sponsors or lack of are not coming to the party with a new one(CSR).
Clarksons who showed the best speed early in the race faced more technical issues in the Mclaren after taking the lead was forced to pull over not once but twice to reset his hydraulics as lost all use of his steering, his upgraded steering wheel package appears to be having issues and with out those type of problems would of been right up the pointy end if not challenging for the win a possible top 3 finish at race end.
Dazza's car was underprepared and lack of preperation(due to sponsor commitments) seen the Mclaren spinning around a few times but had a strong qualifying result with starting on 8th on the grid, the rumour is that this driver is gaining more speed all the time while coming to grips with the car and setup package woud see the Mclaren moving forwards on the points table.
Stondkiwi finishing in 17th after qualifying in 2nd and showing he had the pace to match and challenge for the top position but it proved a difficult race for him and not much has been mentioned by the team or driver on what and why, but alot of red eye in the garage was a possible factor.
While Puttz qualifying in 19th and finishing in 24th is looking for improvements in the cars setup and consitency, while a very fast driver appears to under achieving at this stage and struggling with other drivers noticably the AI in the field, watch this space as in the future this driver is sure to be pushing forward on Leader board.
While many battles unfolded through out the race, stratergys and consistency are the key to achieving strong finishing positions, with good car setups also a major factor that look after tyres and put consitent lap times in, at this stage the Mercedes is showing the way with this and has outright speed in there drivers and cars.
Great night racing once again.

Re: F1 2011 Series
Sooo everyone prepared for China round tomorrow night? Team Mercedes is heading into this one a bit less prepared than the last 2 races
Also to anyone whom has this game & wants to run tomorrow night or for other rounds of the series, post up here & get into it! Its great fun with the fuel & tyre wear etc & it doesn't matter if you miss rounds, the AI just drives for you on the races you can't make it.

Yep...
Try and get a start around 8:30, no practice straight into Qualifying then the race. See how we feel might even get in a 2nd GP.

Nope, as known I'm currently in the progress of moving and don't have access to Internet/Xbox live till early next week so as discussed can't and won't be racing tonight which is dissapointing, but so be it that's the way it tends to roll for me these days. Catch ya's' another time.

I really don't mind waiting another week.
I thought it was next week you would be away, that is why I was thinking of doing 2 GPs.
But if you are away this week, then only one GP tonight.
