New to drifting. Any tips?
Hey guys I've only really started drifting in FM4 now and noticed that it's quite different to what it was on fm3 (at least for me). At the moment I'm using a Mazda RX 8 and RX 7 Spirit R. Was never really a Mazda fan but have found these cars are quite good. So for tuning... I put the tyre psi up to 2.8 on both cars, and the diff around 70-75% acc and 60-65% decel. Is this correct? I am honestly quite clueless on how to tune a car for drift so yeah please share what you know. So far I tried Fujimi Kaido and well I did okay but span a few times. After that was just trying to drift through the little warehouse sort of things on benchmark A in a loop. Quite fun and good practice. So, any tips?

Drop your diff decel down to 45-50% if you find you're always spinning getting off the gas, other than that just keep practicing and sign up for the drift comp

If you drift like me, a locked diff and your limiter are your best friends xD

with the psi in the tyres, my fronts i put at 1.9 and the rear's i put over 3 and try find the highest gear to drift in that the car can handle because you find you get more speed, so it's easier to drift on those really long corners, plus i'm pretty sure it gives you more points

Speed doesn't give you any more points. It just gives you the opportunity to run the best line around the corner, whilst holding maximum angle.. Therefore giving you more points.

Okay thanks a lot guys. I find I spin a lot easier in higher gears but I have practiced my throttle control well enough. I'll take your advice on the tires and well I'll just play around with the diff to see what suits me best. I have a trueno sprinter and a 240sx to get ready for drift but so far loving the RX7 and 8.
