Fanatec GT2 and in game settings.
I'm really struggling to get a good feel for this game. What are your in game and wheel settings for the fanatec GT2. I think I'm going to have to start putting the assists on.

Re: Fanatec GT2 and in game settings.
Here's what Thomas (The creator of the Fanatec Wheel wrote on his blog)
I'm finding this setting works pretty darned well.
Only thing I've adjusted in game is the clutch sensitivity just to avoid crunching gears.

the big day has finally come and here are my recommended settings for our Xbox wheels:

FF: 100
Sho: 100
ABS: 70
Dri:3
Lin: 0
Dea: 0
Spr: 0
Dpr: 0

Yeah I read the same blog last night too,
I also had a look at some of the attached comments to that blog and a few guys were stating that turn 10 had set the wheel to 270deg, and were using this setting.
Havn't tried it yet!

900 degrees is just rediculous unless you want to be spinning the wheel like a mad man. It is way too insensitive. I used 540 in FM4 and am finding that it works great in FM4 also

Not having any trouble with 900 degrees with the early cars. Might become a problem as things get to more extreme speeds.

Re: Fanatec GT2 and in game settings.
I recommend testing wheel settings in A or S Class vehicles since they fall around the middle performance wise. If your setting work for these cars, they should be fine for both lower and higher class cars.
The other way to do it is to have two settings but I find switching between two setting troublsome and prefer a single will setting.

Re: Fanatec GT2 and in game settings.
I use a couple of settings very similar to those that Redna1L has quoted.
1 of them 900 degrees, and the other at 270. I've only felt a need to switch to the 270 degree setting for R1 and R2 cars so far... It does take a bit of getting use to the difference between the two though.
These settings really do come down to personal preference though..

Thanks Wolf. Tried the settings and found the steering way to twitchy for my liking, so I played around with Lin. (still not to sure what this does but it does effect steering sensitivity). Do you use simulation steering or normal steering?

I'm using the expert setting which is no assists and Sim steering.
The 420 sen may seem twitchy if you're used to something a lot higher.
"Lin" modifies the FF strength around the straight ahead position. The higher the setting the less FF around straight ahead.
I tried the blog settings posted ^^ used 700 sen and it feels ok too. Certainly very controllable and definitely worth giving a try. At the time I was battling with some very bargey AI ingame so went beck to my old settings. I'll be back experimenting with it again when I take a break from career mode. Damn, I haven't even had an online race yet, lol.
A problem for all of us using the fantec wheels is there's so much adjustability you can have vastly different setups between guys. Makes it really hard to give solid advice, because what works for one may not work for others.

Re: Fanatec GT2 and in game settings.
Interesting setting mate, must admit I havnt touched/changed my setting in along long while!
My game setting are similar, except for the FF and vibration, which is much higher and then less at the wheel.
sen: off, interesting. Didn't know you could set it off and what it then does to the feel, will have to give that a try and test, I'm running Sen: 270.
Thanks for the post

Would have been good to compare tire wear last night SG1 with the wheels using very different sen settings. I use 480.

Sleuth/razor,
I've been having GT2 wheel disconnect problems (again) since switching to the 756 firmware and more since the most recent XBL update.
It was fine before that while on the beta firmware and using xbox wireless headset for chat.
From your post above, are you saying you were getting disconnects using our TB headset but it only happens if you've got chat connected. Thinking you're using the XP500s and wireless chat, is that right?
cheers

Re: Fanatec GT2 and in game settings.
Hi ya wolfie, yeah when I have the chat headset plugged into wheel and/or headset it causes me disconnects, when its not plugged in at all no probs, I ditched the TB's as started thinking about wireless and if it was the cause of me feeling really flat after using them and the headaches as well.
I'm using Trittons now 720+ wired and am finding them pretty good, and can still hear others chatting even when no chat cable in, just reduces chat volume a bit so dont always pick up whats said.
Also think I read somewhere peeps where having something similar with disconnects tho not many, and re-downloading and re-flashing a few times helped with out any internet security on while doing it. Didn with mine so I just put up with it and dont use the chat cable most of the time but do have to re-boot wheel if I do use the chat with out the cable in the wheel and/or headset before a race if I do use it so as not to disconnect during racing.
Otherwise its a really good firmware, tho havn tried chat with the standard wired xbox chat heatset yet so that might work.
