i use expert but switch the clutch to auto clutch..ala custom!

for me its advanced with cluch = custom

Ill wait for the full game as you cant change the button lay out.
When you can it will be expert - atm im on custom because Clutch is lb (fail)

I go to expert, then pull back clutch, turn on braking line and turn on rewind (because when i do screw up, i cbf restarting the entire TT).

If you rewind it dirties your lap , so it in the last sector and it will dirty your next lap too

I work on the philosophy that if i've had to rewind, i'm not going to be doing a good lap anyway (i.e run wide, hit a wall, spun out and hit a wall).

Also that effect seems be random, depending on whether you go too wide on the last corner to gain an obvious run up for extra speed on the last lap. There seems to be a limit in how wide you can go.

i go to expert then turn the clutch off as i'm too lazy to use my M$ wheel at the moment...even then using a button as a clutch is something i never got used to.

I use expert with no clutch and abs on.
and if i'm doing a 15= lap race i'll use rewind.
No way would I do that again.

What is the difference between normal steering and simulation? I don't recall seeing a steering difficulty in FM3. Or is it just for the wheel users?

Switch to Expert. (Then change following)
I race with ABS on.
Manual without clutch (As i use a controller).
Braking lines are on atm (but will come off when i get used to everything)
Everything else is off including Rewind.

Expert for me just with auto clutch and ABS, most of the time at least. Depending on the car I might have TCS on.

I noticed there isn't a AI Difficulty in the options, I've played a fair bit and I'm finding it far too easy. Is this an option hidden elsewhere? I know they talked about how the AI 'Adapts' but right now they just aren't challenging me and I'm far from a brilliant driver.

Ahyone having problems with the LCE car packs? I put in the codes and the cars appear in the menu as purchased but when I go to buy them it tells me to purchase the packs. They aren't in my garage, I thought they were supposed to go directly to the garage?

i had a weird thing happen to me when i was entering my code, only 2 out of 4 appeared in active downloads. but when i look at my hard drive, it says i have the packs. gotta check tonight to see if i did get the cars.

Yer i thought it was weird to. had the same problem.

Now don't quote me on this but are the cars suppose to go to the garage?

I was thinking that maybe by using the code you have access to them but still have to purchase them in game?

I'm not 100% certain on this but would be good if someone could clarify?

The code is used to put into the games garage you still need credits to buy them. Although you can still take them for test drives, just in stock form.

It wouldn't even let me buy one ......maybe I'm just doing ot wrong ....I was pretty drunk

The one that didn't download was you VIP pass - no download needed, it just unlocks stuff and gives you car packs down the track

Form my understanding the vip pack is part of the disc 2 install.. when it tries to download it takes like 3 seconds and does not download the 300mb.. but if u go into the menu of purchasable car packs and cars it will have purchase.. select the car and client download it will refresh your car data and when its done and the cars will be listed in the BUY Cars list.. u should then be able to purchase the car..

this seemed to have worked ok for me.. i did have issues with the bonus dlc cars from eb and jb ( alfa and subi ) but after selecting the car in the most popular cars page it was then avalible to be purchased in the buy cars menu..
