BATHURST 2011

Well its nearly here again fellas, heres hoping we can all share some Bathurst glory from the past or some info on this years race
Personally id love to see Lowdnes take it and give the championship a red hot go from here in along with mark Skaife have another feather in his cap for Bathurst, love him or hate him he will go down as a Hall of Famer for the sport (as too will CL) for his contribution.

+1 on Skaife in the hall of fame. The guy has done so much for this sport. And a central coast local i must say. i actually used to be engaged to his cousin. only met him once though.

oops haha having troubles today.
Had a quad bike enduro yesterday and i dont have a piece of me that works properly today, at all. (why yes i did win thanks very much! hehe)

yeah this years Bathurst, 2011 that is.....haha

Cant wait i reckon this year theres a bout 6 blokes that could win it.

PS That little Chipmunk isnt one of them, HHAHAHAHAHA!! told he wouldnt win anything this year

Im in WA so first question is when do we get to hear the show? Haha….but seriously

Your old mate Craig Lowndes, …Do you think that CL may have missed his opportunity to win a number of championships in his move from Holden to Ford and now back again? ..and if so how many?
One obviously open to argument but im sure it one that you both would have a close idea of how it would affect a driver who does this (eg James Courtney, if he stayed at JB he would no doubt be closer to the pointy end of the field this year imo)

Craig oozes talent no question, but in this period of change over from manufacturer to manufacturer I believe he lost valuable results which affected his results in the overall championship scenario.
I think he missed a couple of championships, which I believe may stop him from being remembered as a V8’s Legend instead of a driver of great skill that won a couple of championships (he will always be a legend to me though)

Anyway I hope he sticks it to em at Bathurst, and Skaifey does another one of his signature drives (pro job at Phillip Island too big fella!)so they can go back to back at Bathurst and also move CL closer to the elusive championship he well deserves.

So now i can read the program whilst i sit and watch......hopefully in a simulator!!!

I do agree, his switch to Ford initially, to my 12 year old mind, cost him a few, he simply stopped winning, and back then he was my hero. His switch was a kick in the gut... (reminder, 12 year old self, who you drove for and whether you made the headlines was everything Razz

)

But hes a legend in the way hes handled it, no regrets, great driver, honestly the whole combination is enough to put him up there with the greats.

Well, It's 20 years since Skaife/Richards destroyed the competition in the mighty "Godzilla".
Lets hope that Skaife/Lowndes can destroy the competition in 2011 Very Happy

Dam I am old... thanks Clarkson. I remember that day, watching TV with my family. My oldest daughter 1 at the time and all I wanted her to say was Skaifey oh and Nissan of course.

I have a photo of that car on my wall of fame.
