Recording video from Game
Is there any way? Maybe using a PVR. I've been looking for one with a passthrough HDMI as well as RF but the ones I have seen only have RF as an imput.

Re: Recording video from Game
I use a Roxio Game Cap available from JB hi FI it's around $170 and only does 480p however the editing software allows you to up-scale to 780p.
The only one that does full HD is this one
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr-gaming.html or
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html
I think around $270 should get you one and you will have to most likely wait a couple of weeks to get one.
As i said i use a roxio
http://www.roxio.com.au/ena/default.html?ccid=google&o_e25=Paid%20Search&gclid=CPecn6TzwawCFQwY4god7noWpw
I haven't done any F4 clips yet but here is an example from F3
More at www.youtube.com/PacificGamerz
i might jump on and do some F4 actually and see how it looks, keep in mind that these clips are plug and play, there are all the picture setting you would expect to optimise the clip.

Hi mate,
I'm using an hauppauge 1212, but I'm only running component at 720p. But it will record at 1081i.. It dosn't have HDMI Connections, but the newer models may well have.
Try searching Black Magic, they are an Aussie company that also make a lot of capture gear.

I also use the Roxio, certainly does the job, unless you are looking at getting very serious with your editing.
I got mine from link below, will take a couple of weeks to arrive but much cheaper than JB.

I use an AverTV Capture HD. It has HDMI inputs and cost me about $120.

I got it from here http://www.itsdirect.com.au/ but I can not find them on that site, they might have an updated model by now, it was over a year ago.
