GT2 Wheel settings
I have not tried these yet, will do tomorrow.
Thanks Dazza,
I know what you meant about the wheel feeling HEAVY in this game.
Have been experimenting with settings as well, I'll try these tonight.

Re: F1 2011 first impressions
For some reason I can't read the codemasters forum It just times out. is the magical setting for the xbox damper set to -3 and spring set to +1 on the GT2?
I find it strange because these settings arn't even supposed to do anything with the xbox.

Yes Crimson, you read it right. If you go to the nextpage he says they may have updated it.
I have tried these settings and the ffb and general feel have suddenly come alive. I have changed a few settings from his and I'm pretty happy with them. I will post these tommorrow. Too tired ATM.

That wheel problem must be a thing with codemasters because GRID had exactly the same issue and it was solved exactly the same way. The forece feedback is a lot stronger than forza 3 once you sort out the grinding.

Re: F1 2011 first impressions
These have been working well for me. The ffb might be a bit strong for some and even me, so I might either drop it back in game or on the wheel. or both.

From the link I posted earlier (codemasters forum)
I must say the first setup I posted was crap... these are much better, and with a little more adjusting I am sure they will be perfect. I can now feel the car starting to oversteer, understeer, lockup, and I now feel the ripple strips.
The changes I have made so far;
sen = 220
FF = 40

Re: F1 2011 first impressions
Thanks for the last lot of wheel settings Dazza.
I ended up testing them and actually got a feel for the game.
Have since adjusted most of the advanced settings a bit and dropped FF the same as your changes. Its definitely possible to get good feel through the GT2 wheel.
First impressions, Overall game layout and career mode is very similar to F1 2010, but the AI gameplay is better. I'm into it.

I like it too. It's like forza on steroids. SPA in the wet is something else.

Re: F1 2011 first impressions
was on it most the weekend.....
Definatly an improvement.....KERS and DRS add a heap of extra fun...always pushing buttons trying to go faster, AI is improved big time, they leave you racing room and stay out of your way when on hot laps.....
Started getting use to no TCS lastnight, makes a big difference if you change a few things in tuning for no TCS....
Love it, good fun so far, co-op career is good fun aswell.
Keen for a race later if any1 else is, havent tryed a private race yet

Re: F1 2011 first impressions
What difficulty level do you guys race most with? I find medium a bit to easy most of the time and hard pretty challenging. Not even trying expert yet.
Also a noob question. Before each track you go to in career, you can set the difficulty level as easy, medium,hard and expert. I presume this sets the AI level, but when you change the settings, ie take the assist line away or something, it then goes into custom mode. So is your original difficulty level retained for the AI?
Just asking because I did a career race the other night on what I presumed to be medium and got slaughtered. lol

Reckon you might find those who were playing F1 2011 have moved on to FM4.
At least for now.

I should really get back in to this, I am halfway through a Coop season with Clarkson. I guess he will want to finish that some time soon.
Maybe on Friday night Clarkson?
