Forza Motorsport 5 - What we know so far.

I'm not going to say it doesn't look nice because it does. It just looks like a PGR and not a race sim (ish) so far. I'm sure it's just a small portion and they're just showing off something fresh. Unfortunately all they're doing so far to me is pushing me towards other avenues for a proper racer, especially that they seem to be wasting more coding space on bloody autovista again when I'm sure it could go to much better areas.

To me they are showing off some shiny cars on their new pretty track. It is E3 by the way. I am sure there is more to it when released.

I know Forza has never been a full on sim but it still is a realistic racer. I think rFactor is the go for the true sim with FM, GT, Grid, etc for the ones that want it as close as with some ease of use (you know, some assists). Plus they are on a console so no need to worry about constant hardware upgrades.

Autovista was a great addition but could have been executed better. Horizon to me opened up a better way to include Autovista. Barn Finds should have had it and with FM not having Barn Finds use some of the rare and unicorn cars for it. Win the car, a one off maybe, and use AV to show off why it was or is still so special. Keep the other cars out of AV and give more back to the game.

Nothing said or posted so far has deterred my choice. Right now the XBone and FM5 are still high on the wish list. Pre-order might be made very soon regardless on the continued negative vibe I am getting from a lot of comments on the forum in other threads.

Forza 5 will have Open-Wheel cars.

No weather, no night racing, yes to daytime running lights.

Ok, so they are working with wheel manufactures, mentioned Madcats and thrustmaster, no specific mention of Fanatec. Still hoping.

Night racing is fun as a novelty, but weather would be cool. Oh well maybe FM6 on XB2.

I would assume Forza 6 will be on Xbox One won't it?

I was reading something on FM.net last night and they touched on Physics but the more interesting thing was around the the track, they said that the track would rubber down as the race went on and balling and debris would feature and play an important part in the race...

Doing it from memory as I read it late last night and FM will be blocked from work.

Gold Cost race is dead in the arse according some stuff i've read. But yeah, It would be good to have them back and also in FM5.
